Why is it there's always such a strong response to questions about, Race,Religion or politics?

I cant get much response to the crazy questions I post....so maybe if I ask somthing sensible I will get more feedback

The reason for this I think is because these are issues that have people associate with a high amount of emotion. Also, these are things that people grow up being taught to believe in, so when another person comes along and tries to say something negative about these things it seems like a personal attack.

These are also things that people have opinions over and are not cut and dry, so there are a million conflicting viewpoints on each issue that people hold.

Because people feel strongly about religion, hence why this section of Y!A is so popular.
