What qualities make a man gentleman??whether good personality helps to be branded as gentleman?

1) he must be polite
2) he should nt lose his temper very fast
3) be good with gf/wife
4) open door for his lover
6) dont use abusive, vulgur langauge
these are some of the good qualities to be gentleman. good personality always give good first impression. but if he is nt real gentleman then there is no use with personality

I would say a "gentleman" is a guy who isn't a player for one. A guy who treats women with respect. Holds doors open for you and offers to pay for dates. A man who sticks up for his girlfriend/wife. Doesnt talk badly about women. And is over all kind and caring and compassionate.

I think Amber is correct. Gentleman means a man who is gentle with everybody evenif its an animal.

Now Gentle means to treat with respect, try not to hurt anybody or anybody's feelings and self respect. Try not to be so aggressive that some feels insulted.
