What does it mean to have a red/yellow card in a badminton match?

yellow card is a warning, you can get them for rudely arguing with the ref, or depending on how picky the refs are you can get them for things like fist pumping when your opponent loses a point, smashing your racket on the ground, or being unsportsmanlike, red card means your out of the game, you can get them if you continue to do whatever you were previously yellow carded for.

oh, but in a recent game where Wang YiHan vs Eriko Hirose, yihan got a red card but she wasn't sent off....?
