What is the difference between a manicure and a pedicure?

Question

I think manicures are for hands while pedicures are for feet... but what is it exactly, as in what do they do to the nails? What does it look like?

Well there are so many different types!
You're right in saying manicures are for hands and pedicures are for feet.
Generally they soak the cuticles, then file and shape the nails and apply polish. 4 coats - base, two coats of colour, and a clear top coat.

A French manicure/pedicure is when the nails are painted a neutral colour and they have squared-off white tips

manicures are for hands, and usually have a flower, or brighter colors. pedicures are for feet, an usually are a darker color, like a deep red.

Yep, you're right! Just had them both done today. Pretty much the same thing is done to both.
*soak
*shape & buff nails
*cuticles - pushed back, removed, etc
*feet have rough skin removed
*massage
*polish

well they scubs the backs of your feet harder and they do a lot of different stuff to your feet because they all your feet. Most things are similar, but a few things are different.

Yes, manicure are for hands and pedicures for feet. Usually when you're getting a mani/pedi they dip your hands/feet in warm water for a bit to soften up the nails to make them easier to cut. Then they clip them, and maybe do some stuff to your cuticles or whatever. Then they paint them, or give you a french manicure/pedicure; whatever you want.
