Additional Details

Australia 42 - France 4

Was great not to have Ganson, even though there were still a lot of penalties. He shouldn't be allowed to ref for England he's too damn bias.

They can't get our national anthem right can they. Just the music, sounded so povo.

I liked how France's best players aren't even French haha.

For a game that was virtually in the bag it was good to see the young ones do well.

How shocking are some of the players moes, what's with no alcohol advertising in France? What do they drink at the footy, a cup of tea?

I agree with T@ngo, Cronk should be there, I'd put Lockyer on the bench.

My main thought to come from this game is how much better we played with Cronk and Thurston in the halves. I know it probably won't happen (unless he is carrying an injury) but I think Lockyer should step down now from International footy and let the younger guys have a go.

Now see all the thumbs down especially from the Queenslanders.

BQ: They haven't had long yet to grow a mo so give them a chance. Don't think they need to advertise alcohol in France. They start drinking watered wine as a kid of about 6 or 7 and progress to the real thing in their teens. They might have a coffee but a tea never!

Asker's Comment:
This has got to be Lockyers last year, he's just not as good as he used to be.

I reckon it was a great game, first half could've been better but i really enjoyed the second half.

Michael Jennings played really well, i'd rather have him in the final instead of Hodges. It was great seeing the Morris twins play together again.

The younger players played better this morning than some of the high profile players did this morning and in the last two games. They didn't seem over-confident, took opportunities at the right moments and actually focused on the game.

What is there to think about? even a 2 year old knows that france was going to be given a good beating. hack, even an AFL team could beat this french outfit which leads me to ask this question. is it really worth it to have internationals for Rugby League? the crowd attendance are lousy even for the 2 host nations and it's just dead set boring. its so much better to watch nrl. At least there is worthwhile competitions between teams.

Its a great game and really enjoy it. Jennings is fantastic and the Morris twins is amazing.... and think the France just don't know who to watch out for. France has played well in their defence in the first half but it just doesn't hold up in the second half with 70% possession by Australia.

About the moes, think it makes them look tired... and as if they have gone out for a big night and just have no time to shave.. I was wondering why till the commentator mentioned about the Movember thing.

I recommend lemon tea to just tea.... as its more refreshing.. haha..

I think Tango is spot on about Cronk compared to Thurston. I think Lockyer had trouble reading Thurston who can be a bit unpredictable and loose at times but that is also part of the reason he is so good. Cronk, on the other hand is more of a methodical and technical player which made Lockyers job easier. When he wanted the ball Cronk gave it to him on a platter, when he wanted a rest Cronk steered the ship!

It was good to see the bench players and debuntantes get a run. Steve Morris would have been very proud to see his boys out their in the Green and Gold! Farrah was average and I think Hodges might have lost his spot after Jennings gutsy performance!

Just finished watching it and I'm impressed even though it was against France. We were able to rest our best players and still get the job done very comfortably which allows us to have a rested, full strength team with alot of confidence to go up against a team that will be battered, bruised and with stars missing, we couldn't go into a final in any better position. It was great to see our second half was actually better than our first, nothing to do with France, I'm speaking about our ball control and commitment, the team did really well to not get stupid and just jump on opportunities as they came. And I would like to apologize for under-estimating Brett Morris lol I really like him now and happy he is playing for us. I was so anxious him going up against the big powerhouses but his speed and skill is first class which allows him to just prance past the bigger outside backs without a worry in the world and get us points, I'm still a bit worried about his defence but when he can attack like he has been...Who cares! lol Hope he plays for NSW, I really applaude him for how much he has stepped up.

Great win for Australia, nothing but good has come out from it, I'm looking forward for the final. Come on Aussies!!

Micheal "Revolving Door" Jennings only played well against France, a minnow team, and was only as good as Lockyer made him look anyway. Hodges will be in the final.

Tango, you're a fool - Lockyer set up 3 of the tries (at least as many as Thurston did, and more than Cronk) and defended well.

I think that the Morris brothers and Jennings, has done more than enough to be picked for the final game.Sorry Hodges you have showen us nothing to be happy about, your a good player, but Jenning's is on "FIRE".And to play like that in his test debut, you can't ignore that.

They went well, the younger blokes like the Morris twins and Jennings grabbed their opportunities well. Next week against the poms. I hope Ganson breaks a leg before then.

I only saw the game in drips and drabs, checking the scores during breaks inn the rugby.

I agree with T@ngo. But just for this year I want Lockyer in there for the last time. I gave you a thumbs down coz you were asking for it, even though I fully support your answer.
