Why do my gerbils fight with each other?

I have 2 male gerbils, one is brown and one is albino. The albino one is more friendly than the brown but they are playful. Lately, I have come into the room where the gerbils are kept and they are fighting and they are bleeding. I separate them and then reintroduce them later on in the day. I just walked into the room a few minutes ago and the brown one is in one corner of the cage staring straight ahead and making a weird sound with his legs. The albino one is trying to play with him so he keeps nudging him but then the brown one runs really fast to the other side of the cage. Now they are on separate sides of the cage not doing anything but staring. Do any of you know what is going on with my gerbils? Or do any of you know how I can solve this problem?

Thanks so much in advance!

This is what my old gerbils were like. You HAVE to separate them i am afraid otherwise one will eventually be killed. There is always a dominant bully which tries to pinch all of the food and be the boss
