I am now trying mcafee free 30 day antivirus?

Question

what r peoples opinions on this. I find it slows my computer down a little especialy if its scanning in the background and i want to go looking on different websites. I heard that there is a free anti virus that yu can download and its by the state government. does qnyone have any ideas on a decent free antivirus program that isn't too big and is safe and one of the best. i have tried nortons and a couple of others. thanks ahead of time to people that answer.

I am offered Mcafee with my internet provider but did not like it because it does slow your computer down quite alot, I prefer Microsoft Security Essentials it is completely free to download and is both excellent at protection and lightweight:-

Try running the program scan the following. They are all free.
First visit www.avast.com little click "download" selected, click "Download Programs" selected, click "avast! Home Edition - FREE" selected, click "Download" avast! 4 Home - English version (length 31.27 MB) or bold language. ? It is preferable to use it shall have 60 days to register and then after a time. Can be used at a time 1-year wonder?

Well, I have Mccafee In my laptop, My husband use AVG and I think both are great.
You should look for a antivirus in isohunt.com(torrent), Be careful you're not downloading a virus, It should be like around 100 mb. not KB
Thats how I did.
and Since then, My laptop has been working perfectly.
