Well to start off with, there's the value of Family (despite being a single parent family) & the problems putting friends over family, the value of honesty & how honesty may not bring INSTANT rewards but you do benefit from it.

Still been working out the Jonah and the whale bible story so I've not worked out the reference in the Pinocchio story

Until we only think about ourselves, pursue selfish goals, and choose the wrong friends we cannot become Human.
As soon as someone else is more important that ourselves, we find the right environment, and we stop being selfish we become Human.
We are all wooden Pinocchios still...
