How many people / team do stats and how many categories ?

Our commentators have computer stats on every player at their fingertips almost instantly. Are these fed in by the same people who provide stats for the coach & club. They seem to have a stat for everything, from time on ground to kicks, handball, marks, shepherds,frees for & againts, taps won, scores, out on full and....

I remember watching a half time thing on channel 7 about this last year, there is like a special lace at the ground where dozens of people sit and press buttons and stuff and there is like one person with a computer for every player so they knows its accurate.

Buttons are pressed, statistics are entered into computers, every player has a specific person assigned to them to push buttons according to their disposals, marks, time on ground etc.

boy i hope they do other wise the stats that they give us during the game is just bs then if it isn't.
