Is Ross Hendrick (1980/81 QLD state of Origin player) still alive?

I don't know anything about rugby but my husband wants me to ask yahoo because he was a fan and also a personal friend of Ross Hendrick until they lost contact and now he has heard a rumour that he died. I can't find anything about it on google. Does anyone know if its true?

Are you mistaken? Is the correct name Ross Henrick? I did a bit of research and found this.

It's a forum which says that he passed away in 2005 from a heart attack.

Yes. You are right. I was spelling his name incorrectly. Well it seems as though he did in fact pass away. Thanks for the links.

I don't know, but your husband might've heard it thru someone who may have heard it on the News. Us Sydney-siders don't get such info, unless we read the deceased columns in the newspapers. I'd try contacting the QRL(Queensland Rugby League). They might know.

Yes, I am sad to say that I remember reading in the papers a few years ago that he did in fact pass on. My condolences to your husband.
