How do I get my Iphone to talk to my BMW X5 (2005) ?

Question

The BMW comes with a phone button built in, but the phone can't detect the car. I'm assuming the car uses blue tooth, but 2005 might be pre blue tooth ?

I'm in Australia

And the car is second hand, I think its already fitted with the phone kit

Assuming you're in the US, call Bimmernav (www.bimmernav.com) and they can tell you pretty much everything you need to know about bluetooth kits for your X5. I got a factory bluetooth kit from them for my 2000 M5 (which has 2003 radio, navigation, and electronics) and it works great.
