Federer survives Verdasco scare!?

Federer defeated Verdasco 4-6 7-5 6-1
Verdasco looked very dangerous in the 1st set, and looked as if he could create the first upset, but Federer got back up on his feet and played some incredible tennis in the 2nd and 3rd set to pretty match run away with it. What do you think of Federer's performance today? Obviously he was a little slow at the beginning, but he was able to bring it home with a fantastic 6-1 third set.

Well it wasn't his best match, but he was able to play his best when he needed to

Yeah well hopefully will see the Federer from the third set against Murray.

Thank goodness...Roger was by no means playing well (some of his shots were all over the place) but it really gives me confidence that he played a good last set unlike against Nadal at the AO, Del Potro at the USO, Djoko at Basel, etc.
But he played much better and is leading now ( by one game) :)

it hink fed got a little bit lucky here... and i believe verdasco went off his boil point in the half of the second set.. when federer earned his break point on verdascos serve and served out the set..

fed looked more convincing in the third set.. but not totaly amazing.. this match showed us a few things.. one federer walking on ice sometimes.. and two federers ability to still bounce back..

Its been like that for Verdasco this year isnt it...always so near yet so far.....he needs badly to win against the top players to really make it.

Verdasco! he usually always does so well in the opening sets, and then fails to execute. :\
