Who do you think are good models for the game.

Guys like Steve Price, Hazem El Masri, Brett Kimmorley and Luke Priddis who channel their energy into off field community venutures.

Also one club players who resist chasing the bucks, Nathan Hindmarsh, Alan Tongue, Matt Cooper, Darren Lockyer and Robbie Farah

I agree.. You need players to be good on and off the field and loyalty is rare these days too.

Steve Price. He's a great leader and a really good bloke. He really cares about the fans, and does his best to ensure any fans who meet them have a great time.

I heard a story from a talkback caller on a sports radio show once. The talkback caller had a son who wanted Pricey's autograph at halftime in a match Price was missing due to injury. But they didn't have a pen, so they couldn't get his autograph. Or so they thought. But Steve went borrowed a pen from the assistant coach and returned to sign the autograph for the young fan.

Not many players would care about the fans enough to do that, and having players that do can only be good for the game. I don't believe it's an exaggeration to say that 99% of the time a fan who wants a player's autograph but doesn't have a pen will end up missing out

gotta agree with Kiwi Joey and go with Steve Price
you look at him and immediately think of him as a great guy who wouldn't hurt a fly

that fight in origin with White was the first time ever that i had seen him throw a punch (that i can remember)

also a lot of people would look up to Darren Lockyer, great role model for the game and one of the best players ever to play rugby league

I have respect for players who are a real part of their community and who never make the headlines for the wrong reasons, e.g. Steve Menzies and Hazem el-Masri.
