How do you support your NRL team?

I am curious to know how many people here support their NRL team by being members and head down to the watch all the games? If you no longer lived in the area of your team would you get another membership in the area you live?

I am a Cowboys supporter and my mate is a Knights supporter but now that we live in Canberra we have both got Raiders memberships and support the local team until the Cowboys or Knights come to play then we barrack for our own teams. I am curious to see if other fans would do the same???

Yep, I'm a member and rarely miss a home game. That being that some are in Kogarah and on Friday nights I can't always make it. Have never missed more then 2 in a year though. If it's a big game or playing a strong team I'll take a day off so I can make it. Never miss a Wollongong game.

I also go to nearly all the away games in Sydney, travel to Canberra, Newcastle, etc.. Have gone to QLD, VIC and NZ for games to but don't usually get the chance to go out of state for more then 1 or 2 games a season.

Travel to SoO in Sydney and have been to QLD and VIC for it too. I'm going to the GC for the All Stars match, have been to Bris for rep games before too. And I've been to England for the Tri Nations back in 2005

If I can't get to a game I make sure I watch it, and I only watch it live. Last game I missed was in 2004 and only because I was unconscience and in hospital.

I wouldn't change teams I would just have to travel more. My RL would be a really big reason for me never to move far out of the area.

dragonlady - do you follow the Sharks too? Shellharbour Sharks that is.

I support the Knights by pretty much watching every game they play
But i also buy a membership pack every year to help the club out and increase the members list

even though i live in Canberra, i still only follow the Knights, when the Raiders play down here i usually go for the team that they are versing because my mate is a Raiders fan and i like to stick it to him if the Raiders lose :P

I was a Chook Pen member with The Roosters a few years ago. I haven't been able to go to many games this year because of my unfortunate unemployment and also sickness. Only been to three or four games this year I think.
I live on the Central Coast NSW for what it's worth, and I've never lived in Sydney (bugger that!).

I have lives in QLD on the Gold Coast all my life, and i hated the broncos growing up and used to go for the seagulls and when they folded i just picked a random team and chose Parra, so cant become a member or go to all the games, but i will go to Brisbane or Skilled Park to watch them play there, but i cheer louder than anyone and am as passionate as anyone out there, even though i cant get to many games, but i never ever ever miss an Eels game

Getting out to games at Bruce Stadium when I can. Watching Foxtel at a friend's place, when the Raiders are on.

And throwing things at the TV when Gus talks bollocks about the Raiders. Come to think of it, I throw things at the TV when Gus appears.

I'm a member and basically go to all home games since I live close to ANZ Stadium and support the doggies. I also go to as many away games as I can like if theres a game at Parramatta Stadium, SFS, Campbelltown and Brookvale I'll go. I also try and get to the games in Penrith, Wollongong, Newcastle and Canberra.

I wouldn't get a membership with another team just because they're the local team, I'd just try to get to as many of my teams games as possible.

I have been following the bronx since their inception. As a kid i collected the football cards and attended the odd game with my dad.

As i grew up and came of age i went to the pub or a mates house to watch the games and knock the top off a couple, cant remember the last time i missed my team play. I make sure if the missus and i are going out on game nite, that there is a tv playing it! if there aint, i aint going!

Once i got myself a decently paid job i bought my first season membership in 2004. Liked it so much i upgraded to GOLD class tix and never looked back,I love going to the games every week at week, the paddow or the caxton before the game, yell my ass off at the game and then talk sh5t to the losing teams fans on the train on the way home..if its an away game..foxsports2 is activated.

I travelled to see the bronx play for the first time this year. Was great to be amongest such passionate fans, witness the atmosphere and whip the titans! hahaha.

Love going to WIN, always loved Kogarah, and I watch the NSW Cup side whenever I can (the Shellharbour Dragons). The only places I don't go to when the Dragons are playing are NZ, Qld and Melbourne .. the cost is a bit much, I'm afraid. That's where Foxtel helps!!

I used to love the Dragon's Cave in Wollongong, but they closed the shop and now the vans at WIN sell the merchandise .. not so keen on that because they aren't terribly interested.

I'm not a member but that doesn't mean I'm not as big as as a supporter like those Manly fans who are.

I live in Western Sydney so most games are hard to get to, yet I get to as much Manly games as I can (13+ a year)

I've been a Tigers supporter since 1990. Hoping to become a member next season, just to do my little bit for my club. I grab current jersey, team shirt and hat every year. Never seen them play live (I live 300km from Darwin) but never miss a game on the box. Watching the Tigers go around will have to stay on the bucket list for a while.

I'm a Queenslander and I support all QLD teams my favs are Titans & Broncos as poor old Cowboys choke at the pointy end of the season ( what a waste of Thurston eh ) being unable to walk sometimes its hard to get to Home Games but watch every one on TV and buy lots of supporter gear and of course get right behind the mighty QLDers in Origin !!!!

    I don't lol.
    I'm like you.

I'm a member of the Manly Sea Eagles, believe it or not.
The company I represent sponsors them a little bit here and there.

Ever tried wearing your teams colours and sitting next to Cliffy Lyons and Terry Randall?
It's not fun even if 'WestsTigers' are winning, lol
