Grade 8 AMEB exams scales?

Question

Well I just did my grade 8 piano exams a few hours before I posted this question, I didn't do very well in the scales, I played at least half of them badly. So my question is how much does your scales effect your grade? I played my 4 pieces pretty decent, maybe a few mistakes in each pieces, I did ok... with my general knowledge and aural. Will I pass?, Btw the examiner was an evil old lady...

I can't say for sure - i don't know what your technique and stuff are like ...
In my own experience i did grade 6 cello a while back and my scales were just terrible! my pieces were good, general knowledge was great and sight reading was total crap.
I got a B
I think you will pass. It just depends how much you will pass by.
