I'm on the American heart association diet and it tells me to eat ice cream but I'm allergic .?
I don't know if a lot of people know of this diet but for the people who do should i skip the ice cream ? if i do that I'm not sure if the diet will work . Is the ice cream like an important part of the diet is all the food combined like a chemical reaction that makes you loses the weight or is it like just something sweet for you while on the diet
Additional Details

PLease talk to your cardiologist about this or a dietitian/nurtitionist. It sounds like you need to understand this diet more before going on it.
Most nutritionists and doctors will tell you to pay attention to portion size, never deprive yourself of anything (hence the small portion), and eat healthy with plenty of vegetables, fruit, carbs, healthy fats, protein, etc. Exercise regularly.
Make sure you tell them what you're allergic to. It's not ice cream you're allergic to....it's something in it. Is it the milk? Casein? You need to figure this out to better help what you can and cannot eat. An allergist or even a gastroenterologist can help you figure this out.

If your allergic than your allergic. I dont know if you can talk to someone through this plan but if you can then you might ask about a substitute.
