Yep. The indigenous ones are Caucasoids. True they are not Nordic white, which is really very pale, but they are Mediterranean white which is to say tanned.

Events that are over are in the past; events that are yet to unfold are in the future. Note that neither past nor future events exist. Only the now, current events exist. So there is no possibility of time travel into the past or into the future as those events don't exist. What is interesting, I think, is that the rate at which events happen is a relative value. So we can observe the heartbeat of an astronaut as slower in the ISS than it would normally be back on Earth. That means, because events define time, the rate of time on the ISS appears slower when we measure it from our control center back on Earth. It's a relativity effect called time dilation. Worth reading about if you have a mind to.

There are lots of thing that can only be learned by experience. It takes time to gain that experience; so when they are young they just haven't had enough time to learn better.

No you didn't screw up. It is I believe the natural course of nature for a man and woman who become friends and are still desirable to eventually feel like the friendship should go on to the next step...sexual relations. I frequently ask the question, "Is it possible for a man and woman who are desirable to remain just friends?" I think it is, but sexual attraction does make it way more difficult to stay just friends. Sexual attraction creates a lot of tension. So no, you didn't screw up. But you are in a hard place. You want to remain just friends but the daughter is saying her mom wants to notch the relationship up. I'd talk to the daughter. And tell her straight up how you feel about her mom. If there is no inclination for you to raise the bar, then tell the daughter that. That will at least set her mind at ease of not having to call you dad. And maybe you can even enlist the daughter's help in conveying your position that you want to be and remain just friends with the mom. You know, a daughter to mom talk. I think it would be better if the daughter broke that news rather than the mom suffering a rejection by you directly. Good luck.

Why not. The two exponents have the same value. And the bases x and |x| are numerically the same as well.

  • My English teacher is making us right about our political view in class. Is he allowed to do that?

As long as teach does not endorse a political point of view, it's probably OK to teach politics in general. But I am a bit puzzled by why politics is being taught in English class. I would think politics would be taught in social studies or maybe American history.

Yet it cost the US billions of dollars in research and development that could have been spent to advance the nation's technology but didn't because of the war. And the US lost about 400,000 fathers and sons in that war. That was not only a social crisis, but their loss denied the nation of a ready labor force. And we were the winners. The losers, Germany, Italy, and Japan fared much worse than that. Whole cities, including the women and children that lived there, were destroyed...literally leveled like Hiroshima and Dresden. Bottom line, it is not a secret that peace is way more profitable than war. Yet....[fill in the blank with list of wars]

  • Do the planets in our solar system affect global warming or contribute?

But on the grand scale of things comparatively little I would think, without crunching numbers. All the other planets in our solar system combined would be even less effect as their gravity influence on Earth is so slight as to be not measurable. The Sun and its vagaries are the biggest celestial players in Earth's global climate cycles. The Sun's temperature varies, sunspots come and go, and Earth's orbit around the Sun changes over centuries. These all contribute to the natural global climate changes.

Cereal and fruit for breakfast. Sandwich or salad with meat for lunch. Meat and salad for dinner. Lean meat snack whenever I get hungry (e.g., a chunk of ham to munch on). Plenty of no-calorie fluids, water, tea, sugar-free soda. And whenever I have a craving, I don't fight it, I enjoy it. Then I'm ready to continue the diet. In the net the diet outweighs the craving and I lose weight.
