Best answer: It is a religious fairy tale to explain why men have to work and women have child bearing pains. If we pretend it really happened, it is clear Adam and Eve did not understand who God was supposed to be and we can only guess that God was setting up a really poor and immoral test for His new Creation by placing two dangerous trees in the Garden as well as the Serpent to convince Eve that God was pulling a fast one on them. God ends up blaming everyone but Himself for the predicament that He set up. While it makes no sense that the children inherit the Original Sin of their parents, what does make sense is we all are born with human nature, because we have common tendencies as a species. This being the case, we don't need saving from God, we need saving from ourselves in that our natural tendencies can override our intellect and cause ourselves and others great pain.

Best answer: I could believe that is possible. I suspect God belief may have been necessary for survival at one point in our history and most people today carry that trait, that like irrational phobias are difficult for some people to shed.

If you were going to just run a single program, 4GB is usually plenty, but most people run far more than just a single program and this is where you begin to run out of RAM space and your computer becomes sluggish as it has to begin using the much slower hard drive. This is one of the biggest advantages to a 64 bit OS in that it is not limited to 4GB as the 32bit OS's are. While there are people who can still get away with using only 4GB of RAM, the new lower limit is now at 8GB for many people. The OS alone can consume a lot of RAM as they too become more complex and need extra RAM to run.

When you understand it is the rational attempting to debate the irrational, it is a lot easier to be forgiving as well as not take it to seriously. It is just entertaining to lay out a reasonable case of where theists go wrong in their reasoning. While they can't appreciate it while in their irrational state of mind, if they are one the lucky ones to find their way back to rationality and become an ex-theist, they will fully get it then.

  • Arduino question?

Best answer: Arduino sequentially runs commmands, meaning that if you want both servos to react together in the same fashion, then they need to share a single output pin so that one command drives both at the same time. Even if you use interrupts to break the loop, it reads one interrupt before it reads the next.

In other words you begin with the end in mind and things begin to naturally fall into place for getting to that finished product. All languages work the same, meaning programming is a method that works the same regardless of what language you use. It's like asking for a hamburger, it does not matter the language as long as the interpreter knows you are asking for a hamburger. Computer languages are for humans since all computers speak only one language so each language is designed for a certain type of person such as Cobal for business professionals or Fortran for engineers. I don't keep up with trends, I set them. Meaning I custom design software for my own needs and desires and know what I need to accomplish this. I will google for functions/libraries so I don't have to waste time programming from scratch, but I have written plenty of functions/libraries from scratch, either because it is quicker than looking it up or because I could not find exactly what I was looking for.

Best answer: I think on the surface it is somewhat easy to believe a God is necessary, so the question for most is who is this supposed God? Children raised with their holy books, tend to stay with those holy books and believe that version of this supposed God. Usually as teens, most theists question everything, including their religious beliefs as they seek the independence of adulthood. This is usually the point were some leave their religious beliefs behind or develop their own reasoning as to why to continue with their religious beliefs. Sometimes this includes switching holy books/religions because they still believe in some sort of God but believe certain holy books inadequate in explaining the true nature of God that they perceive to be true. When it comes to believing it is the God of the bible, it boils down to people who actually read the bible and find it compellingly true or most of the time people just believing the gossip that the bible is true. For those who actually read the bible, for christians the belief in their God is already established, so the reading is not so much to validate whether the bible is actually 100% true but rather to learn how their God ticks so when a magical event occurs, they never bother to wonder if the writers invented this magical power of God to explain an otherwise natural event. For example, where Lot's wife turns into a pillar of salt for looking back at the town that God was destroying. The region is known for pillars of salt, did one of these pillars resemble a woman and then the story was invented? Even if the christian is smart enough to think at this level, they choose to ignore the more plausible natural explanation over letting the magical scenario slide. There are certainly enough of truths in the bible, as well as enough generalizations to allow a person to convince themselves that the bible is the valid Word of God. Things like scholars of religions who study many holy books and not being swayed into christianity never crosses a christian's mind and for christians who figure it out and leave christianity, well the excuse is they were never real christians and didn't have a real understanding. So in a nutshell, christianity is like a good lie, it has all the makings of appearing to be true at the superficial level of reasoning, but if you think any deeper, the cracks begin to reveal themselves.

Best answer: I agree. We are all programmed to think a certain way. The question is whose programming is the better fit for reality where both theists and atheists are wrong about certain things. Theists are wrong in the conclusion about Gods where as atheists can be wrong in other areas, such as believing global warming is not a scam perpetuated for financial gain. Educated people, while programmed, simply have a leg up on uneducated people when it comes to critical thinking, but educated people are still prone to irrationality that comes from our emotions. For every reason a theists can name for why they believe a God is necessary, an atheist will show you "better" reasons that demonstrate the blindness of their conclusion. Many atheists however are liberals/democrats and are blinded by the irrationality that goes with it. I would argue that both sides share willful ignorance when it comes to what they desire over the reality of the situation. I am a conservative atheist and while not prone to the irrationality of liberalism, I still have my moments of irrationality. The primary difference for myself, is I am always open to being proved wrong or irrational so that I can change for the better.

Best answer: You are simply going back to where you have already been before your birth so the death itself is not the scary part. It's the not living anymore because while you are alive there is just too much to do in such a short life that is somewhat scary. I find as I get older, this too becomes less scary as a mark things off my to do list. Not everything is finite. For example, energy is infinite because it can neither be created, nor destroyed. What we worry about with our universe is not that it will disappear, but rather there needs to always be an imbalance of energy in order for work to be done. This is often referred to as the 2nd law of thermodynamics that states energy in a "closed" system will eventually equalize/balance out, meaning no more work can be done by the energy that is still there. We may not be in a closed system and there may be some kind of perpetual energy imbalance to keep things moving. Also our universe is expanding, but into what? The answer is the Cosmos itself that is made of dark matter/energy. The problem for our species is getting off of earth before our sun dies or before something collides with earth causing all life to go extinct. While it is easy to worry about anything, it is usually unnecessary.

Best answer: It's hard to say since self employment is nothing more than taking over the full line of tasks involved in selling products and or services. The hardest thing about self employment is competition and self motivation. Competition is usually the hardest thing to overcome because many people are trying to do the exact same thing as you and it is up to you to earn a reputation that separates you from the pack where you can actually charge more because of that earned reputation. If your goal was to be a consultant, you would most likely need experience working for others first and earning your reputation while employed so that when you set out on your own you are already known in the industry.
