The best "sealer" for many engine seals or gaskets is simply a very fine smear of oil or grease to allow the real seal or gasket to compress in to place without dragging or tearing. It is vital to carefully follow all bolt tightening sequences and torque settings when assembling parts that have multiple fixings - they must be tightened evenly through multiple points and not one-end-to-the-other. Also tighten in stages working up to the final torque setting, do not simply fully tighten fasteners in one go. Even for things where a tightening sequence is not specified, it's still a good idea to use one - eg. if you have 12 screws, gently tighten every 3rd or 4th, then the next along to each of those, until all are equal. Then fully tighten in the same order. That prevents the cover distorting or the gasket being "squeezed" towards one end. (With some parts, the loosening / removal order is also important to prevent a part being strained by uneven force). Under tightening allows leaks, which can be fixed by correct tightening. Over-tightening or failing to follow correct tightening order can distort parts, possibly permanently. For just a few drops, put it in a warm place with lots of ventilation and ideally a fan blowing on it to help evaporation. Leave it like that for a day and see if it's OK. Otherwise, the keyboard needs removing, washing with deionised water to remove any contamination then drying. If it does not work it can be replaced. If liquid has got to the main board, it's a similar thing - removal, cleaning with deionised water, alcohol, drying. Damage is done by normal water in combination with power - the main battery or backup battery. The effect is electrolysis, like reverse electroplating - the metal connections / tracks of the circuits are dissolved away. Once started it will keep happening; the only way to stop it is remove all traces of condustive contamination. A tuned exhaust can do the opposite, under the right conditions. That needs a clean run of pipe from the cylinder exhaust, then possibly a slight restriction at an appropriate distance along the exhaust pipe or system, depending on the required effect. The effect is that the inertia of the exhaust gas causes a pressure reduction as the exhaust flow finishes, drawing extra fuel-air mixture through the cylinder during the valve overlap phase and removing all trace of exhaust from the cylinder. With a totally open non-resonant pipe that's all that happens. With a tuned restricted pipe, the length to the restriction is set so the pressure wave from the start of the exhaust flow is partially reflected. If that reaches the exhaust port just at the right time - the RPM the exhaust is tuned for - some of the excess unburnt gas drawn through is pushed back just as the exhaust valve closes, causing a slight increase in cylinder pressure. It only works over a very narrow rev range and is normally set for the peak power revs of a racing engine. For a normal road vehicle it's a total waste of time; a low restriction legal exhaust that just moderates flow enough to prevent an excess through flow during valve overlap without restricting burnt gas removal is the best option. On a multi-cylinder shared exhaust, the pressure from other cylinders can be used to cause the restriction/back pressure, based on the lengths between the exhaust ports and merge point. That varies with revs so is a much broader range effect than pipe length alone. That's one of the reasons some manifolds have long runs to the merge point, compared to some which combine almost at the cylinder head. Or, because the power dissipation or voltage is such that it needs to be distributed over several resistors. Anything that could be reduced to two terminals and has no voltage or power problems would normally have a single resistor used. Real resistor network uses I can think of, offhand: An R-2R ladder for digital to analog conversion. Every resistor is needed and has a unique function. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3y3kHh0kyVo/UZ... Any files copied while the memory fault was present may be corrupt; you cannot trust anything on the machine, it must all be replaced. Note that the most important first thing after a "clean install" is the "system", "inf" or "motherboard" driver - many other drivers are dependant on that and you may get various strange problems later on if you do not install that. Get the drivers from the machine or motherboard makers web site, unless you have the driver disc that came with the motherboard. Update all required drives and eliminate any yellow exclamation marks from device manager before thinking about installing any games or general software. Ideally have the drivers ready on a disc or USB drive so you can install those before connecting to the internet and installing your AV. At least try to do the system driver first, before going online, so windows update does not get a chance to start installing things out of sequence. I always disable that during a windows install and only re-enable it after the machine setup is complete, to avoid it trying to install stuff while I'm still setting the machine essentials up.

They also have a number of design faults - wrong types of components in places - which can only be fixed by replacing components.. Having said that, for the 10- to 15- or so they sell for, they are not bad value. The capsule is somewhat directional so make sure you are using the correct side of the mic. Use a good windshield and get as close as you can without it picking up breath sounds, to maximise the signal-to-noise ratio. (The only difference between 700 & 800 types is the shape of the mesh top - "chisel" or cylindrical shape). They can be improved by replacing the capsule and a fair proportion of the total components in them, but for an average person it's easier and cheaper to buy a decent mic if you need better. Look at the MXL V67g or MXL 990, both of those are true condenser types and less than $100 if you shop around on ebay. The V67g is a large diaphragm one and slightly better; the 990 can be bought paired with a 991 for about the same price.. http://recordinghacks.com/microphones/MX... http://recordinghacks.com/microphones/MX...
