-I was born and raised a Christian.
-I later became interested in learning about the other religions, they were there and people were happy worshiping in those faiths.
-I started my learning by reading about Buddhism and i found it absolutely amazing! Its beautiful ideas and texts changed my life for the better.
-Next, Hinduism. I was once again stunned by the beauty, peace, and unity of its teachings.
-Now, I'm working my way through the Qur'an and I find it to be a beautiful text, comparable to the Gita, Upanishads, Bible, and Dharmapada.
-Today, I consider myself a Baha'i because I feel that all the Prophets are messengers of one God, each of them delivering a new chapter of a long book of God, to different peoples and at different times to fit specifically to those peoples needs. After reading all these texts they have changed my life for the better
MY QUESTION: Why don't more people try to look outside of the tiny box that they grew up with, and learn about all the other faiths.
Too often do I see people vehemently defending a religion they were raised with, and bashing/condemning all the other Faiths And yes I have read the Bible, twice as a matter of fact.
