• Is it possible to trap light?

I have thought about this one scenario; Could it be possible to trap light inside a box with mirrors on all sides. So if you open it in say a year, you would see the light that had been bouncing off the walls for a year?

  • Is the Copenhagen interpretation saying there is no such thing as an unobserved reality?

I notice the EPR paradox insists on a "criterion of reality", and Schrödinger's+his cat use absurdism to say the same thing? It seems to me critics of the Copenhagen interpretation just can't deal with the metaphysical implications of Verschränkung. Do I have this all wrong?

It can be a poster, or a powerpoint.... but I REALLY wanna make a model of the string theory, I have the things needed most likely to do it, but I need some ideas on HOW to do it. I don't really know how it 'looks' ? I could make an atom.... but after that, I don't know. Thanks!

This is a debate I had with my co-workers. At first I thought they were messing around, but it turns out they were really serious. They thought that the universe was growing because of all the new planets, constellations, stars, and whatnot that have been discovered recently. They also claimed that science says certain galaxies are now further away from each other than they used to be. It was my contention that the universe isn't really growing; but that it is our understanding and ability to measure such things that is doing the growing. After all, Copernicus couldn't see nearly as much of space as we. I don't believe that space can actually grow ( I personally think it is infinite), but I do believe that we haven't nearly begun to discover what's out there.
