  • What Types Of Fish Like Fast Moving Water?

I'm thinking small schooling tropical fish... I've had a look at Danios but they seem to like cooler waters. Are there any other small tropical fish that don't mind fast moving water? My filter flow isn't adjustable.

  • Is A Pad Okay Or Should I Use Something Else?

Okay, so, my period started today and in about two days me and a massive group of friends have planned a water fight (it will be very hot). There won't be water guns or hoses or anything, just water balloons. I can't wear tampons for medical reasons, and the shorts I plan to wear are dark denim and quite short. I was wondering if I'd be okay to wear a pad, or if I should just sit this one out (hopefully not).

  • How Many Washes Average?

Thinking of using Manic Panic to dye my hair, but it needs to have faded out completely after about six weeks. How many washes on average does it take to get rid of?

  • Would This Be Awkward?

Okay, so I like this guy. He's in all my classes at uni and he is single. We kind of know eachother, we chat occasionally but it's just small talk. I recently got his number and wanted to ask him if maybe he wanted to take a walk down to the local park with me and hang out for a while. I don't know if it'd be awkward because we don't really know eachother that well and I don't want to seem too forward.

  • Good Substrate For Java Moss?

I am planning on starting a Red Cherry Shrimp tank, and would like to use Java Moss in it due to the fact that it is a low light plant. I have never kept live plants before and was wondering what substrate I should use. Is normal aquarium gravel okay or does it need to be soil?

  • Where Should I Start This?!?

I've always been a drawer but never a painter. I've only recently gotten into painting and have painted two small canvases. It's my best friend's birthday in two weeks and he loves Adventure Time, so I've sketched out a little portrait of Finn and Jake on a canvas to give to him(not sure how big exactly, but it's small). What I wanted to know was where do I start? Do I outline them in Sharpie and then paint? Paint first? Outline in paint instead of Sharpie? I'd love it if you could help me out, thanks (:

  • I'm Staying In Tokyo For A Month...?

In January I'm staying in Tokyo for one month with a friend... Do you think it'd be cheaper to rent an apartment or stay in a hotel for that time? We are planning on visiting Osaka, Hiroshima, etc.

  • Good Way To Raise Ambient Air Temperature?

I have an Exo Terra Nano Terrarium currently housing one Eastern Dwarf Green Tree Frog. All the heat lights I've found have way too high a wattage for such a small tank, so I was wondering if there are any better bulbs or other alternatives that I could get in Australia without importing?

  • Will Dwarf Tree Frogs Eat Small Fish And Shrimp?

I was just considering them as another option to help give my Dwarf Green Tree Frogs even more variety in their diet. If they do accept them, will they be fine to have them as a staple food in their diet (which already includes crickets, mealworms and grasshoppers)?

  • Tips On Washing Aquarium Gravel?

Just interested in the steps people take to get sparkling clean gravel. When you bring a bag of gravel home from wherever you get it, what is your method for cleaning it?

  • What movie is this?!?

It's an old one... About a bus that can't stop because it has a bomb on board... I can't remember the name for the life of me!

  • Lethargic Betta, Not Eating?

About two weeks ago I rescued a male Betta from a tiny cup at my LFS. I have experience keeping and breeding Bettas, so I put him in a 5G tank with a filter and a heater. He has places to hide, the filter is on a very low current, and he is offered a small amount of food once a day. Lately, he has just been sitting on the bottom of the tank breathing heavily, and he eats so slowly that I've had to start hand feeding him. He hasn't eaten in the last two days even though I've offered him different kinds of food. He shows no visible signs of illness, just some discolouration (but I assumed this was because of his time in the cup). What could be wrong?

  • Do You Think A Goldfish Would Rather Be Kept Alone?

I know about keeping Goldfish, and I have a 55 gallon tank setup specifically so I can get some, but do you think they would rather be kept alone, in pairs, or in groups?

  • Double Bass String Names?

I have wanted to play the Double Bass for ages, and finally the opportunity has been thrown at me, so I accepted it. I am already experienced in music and played the Cello for a long while, but I have nobody to teach me Double Bass so I have to learn myself. I was wondering, for a start, what are the string names from lowest to highest?

  • Should I Put Them On?

So I was thinking about putting on some fake nails. I fail at painting my nails, and getting them done professionally isn't an option for me. I will have to glue the fake ones on at home. My real nails are atrocious (I am a nail biter, bad habit, I know, I'm thinking having fake nails might deter me). The only thing is, I play center for my volleyball team. We play for around three hours a week. I was thinking about getting some very short false nails... But I've been reading and I don't even know now whether it's a good idea to get them at all. Your thoughts?

  • Good Stock Choices For This Tank?

I have a 178L long tank running with a heater and two large sponge filters. I cannot put live plants in the tank. It is in a fairly quiet part of the house, in dimmish lighting. I wanted a species tank, and I was thinking Tiger Barbs... Does anyone know of any other active, tropical fish? I was thinking fish with a maximum adult size of 15-20cm.

  • Exact Directions For Breeding Discus?

I have been keeping Discus in show tanks for a long time, and would like to start breeding them. The demand for them in my area is quite high, so I will definitely have a place for the fry once they grow. I'd like to know how to breed them. Temperature, water parameters... How long do I leave the parents in the tank for?

  • Spider Bites On My Foot?

I just found a set of spider bites on my foot. They look exactly like mosquito bites, but they don't itch at all. I'm feeling fine, but we have a lot of White Tail and Red Back spiders where I live, so I am very worried. If the spider was a dangerous one, about how long before symptoms start to show?

  • Is It Safe To Do This?

Is it safe for me to gravel vac a tank with two full grown, mildly aggressive Oscars in it? Gravel vaccing would involve me having one hand in the water. I play the sax, so I'd really like to keep my fingers. Could I temporarily use a tank divider to keep me safe?t
