  • Would this work in my guitar?

I am making my own guitar. I am thinking of putting a locking nut for a floyd rose bridge in but it is going to be a fixed bridge. Does it need a floyd rose bridge or will my idea work?

  • What guitar fulfills all these requirements?

Please tell me ANY guitar you know that meets ALL these criteria:

    1. Left-handed

    2. 24 frets

    3. Fixed bridge (at least no tremolo bridges)

    4. Satin finish neck (like Ibanez)

Does not really matter what price it is, I just desperately need to know of a guitar that is all 4 of those requirements. Thanks.

  • Good neck distortion pickup?

I was thinking of getting a Dimebucker in the bridge for awesome solos and pinch harmonics but I want a passive pickup in the neck that would do very good heavy metal distortion sounds like DevilDriver but hopefully also good cleans. Is the Seymour Duncan Super Distortion a good one?

  • Seymour Duncan Blackout AHB-1 or EMG 81/85?

What is the best pickup for getting the DevilDriver sound? I know they use 81/81 but Blackout have seemed to receive generally better reviews than the EMGs. Will I be able to get the DevilDriver sound from the Blackouts? If I can I will get those.

  • Replacement bridge for my guitar?

I want to replace the bridge on my Ibanez GRX20L with an Ibanez Gibraltar bridge. Is it possible to order one individually or do they only come on guitars? If they only come on the guitars, what would be a suitable fixed bridge similar to the Gibraltar to use? Thanks.

  • How to conclude a debate speech?

I am writing a debate speech for my English class at school and I just need to write the concluding statement. The one I want goes something like "...and it is because of these reasons that I am proud to argue the negative". Is this the correct wording of this particular method? What is the correct way if this is not? Thanks.

  • Best locking tuners for electric guitar?

I wanted to upgrade the tuners on my ibanez grx20l to give it better tuning stability. What are the best tuners for price, reliability and tuning stability? Tuning stability being first and foremost. Note: my guitar is left handed so when I see lots of tuners online, the little screw holes are on the wrong side. Thanks.

  • Good black metal bands?

I want to find some good black metal bands and they usually have some awesome instrumentals. But the vocals are usually really thin and don't sound good. What are some other bands that have some good, meaty screams but are also heavy with their guitars and drums. I know about Chthonic. They are good. Something along those lines.

  • Will these pickups work?

Will the Gibson USA Tony Iommi pickups in his signature guitar work for some more modern metal? Stuff like Devil Driver, Machine Head or Arch Enemy? If they wouldn't could you suggest another (lefty) guitar that has pickups that would suit those bands' sound? Or one that is just good for metal and I can change the pickups later.

  • Ibanez SM7 or Danelectro Black Paisley Liquid Metal?

I want one of these pedals but I don't know which to go for. The Black Paisley is cheaper but I just have some sort of attraction towards the Ibanez. The Ibanez is about twice as expensive as the Black Paisley (about £45 and £22). I have never played on either and i won't get a chance to before I buy them. Just need to know what one has the best distortion. Also an option is the Electro harmonix Nano Metal muff which is about £1 more than the Ibanez.

  • What are some good songs to make poems out of?

For my R.E. class I have been set the task of writing a romantic poem (don't ask me why this is happening in R.E.) and as I am hopeless at writing poems I thought to take lyrics from a song. As long as the R.E. teacher has never heard of it he won't be suspicious. Preferably the song should be metal. Yes there are metal love songs out there but the ones that could be used that I know are a little too well known. If you can't find metal then its alright. Thanks.

What are the best pickup combinations for using in a guitar for heavy metal? For sounds like DevilDriver and Metallica riffs. Solos to sound really awesome. Would a DiMarzio D-Activator X in the bridge and a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck work? What about anything even better than that?

  • Christian Black Metal Bands?

I want to start listening to black metal but most of the lyrics of the more well known black metal bands tend to be satanic, so that turned me away. I know there are Christian Black Metal bands so that would be a good place to start. I know of Antestor so what are some other Christian Black Metal bands I should check out?
