I own a 1994 Nissan Sentra XE (b13 Generation). My rack and Pinion is pretty much pouring power steering fluid out you can see it leave trails of power steering fluid when pulling up. I decided since it is a twenty year old car, to just replace the unit all together. I looked up some of the parts and it seems there are two options. I can either buy a Manual rack or a power steering rack. Right now it has power steering, but I was thinking I can get the manual rack instead.
1. Can I switch from a power steering rack to a Manual rack?
2. what are the pro's and cons of a manual rack if you can put one on?
3. What would you recommend? I heard manual rcks mak the steering feel great.
Here are the two options
Manual Steering rack
Hydraulic Power steering rack
