  • My dog has dandrift...?

My dog has horrible dandrift. He's a black lab mix, about 7 months old. I tried buying him no flake moisturizing shampoo, but it doesn't seem to have helped after the last two baths. I checked for fleas and lice, just incase. But there was none.

So... I dye my hair frequently. Not all of it, just a big strip. It is bleached, so the dye stays in pretty well. How can I dye two colors, without making it look crappy? (I want to do christmas colors.)

We love him and play with him often, the only time he's never in contact with someone for more than an hour is at night. When he's outside, we go out and play with him, and let him out. B. The dog is 5 months old. He can hold his pee for a while, and has shown us that. He doesn't go when he's around us. C. When we bring him inside and leave him alone, it's in a puppy proof room where he cannot get another or harm himself or break anything. At the same time, he has plenty of toys. We did this because it's been storming alot and we didnt want to force him to be in his kennel every time it's storming. Someone comes down every hour to let him out. There's no way he has to go every half hour or less, he doesnt have problems holding it when were with him. D. He only goes when he is ALONE in the house. I can take him out and get him to go to the bathroom, and sit with him for 3 hours after that, and he not go. But if I take him out and then leave him alone for 15 minutes, he will have gone. E. He doesn't whimper or whine or show any signs of being scared when alone. F. We have crate trained him, and he does have a crate. He sleeps in it at night and it's also used for travel. G. We have everything set up, feeding and stuff scheduled. That is not the problem. H.He practically lives in that room. When we got him, He stayed in that room 24/7. We're trying to get him used to being outside during the day because he is a large dog. (Black Lab/great Dane mix) I. Again, He's not secluded from us anyway. The whole problem here is he has to be alone while it storms, and a storm can last for a pretty long time here. Often times the storm is going on while the children are at school, and I do not have time to watch him all the time, I work at home and he tries to eat the cords to my computer. I don't want him to be shoved in his crate every time it starts to storm, so we set up the room. Again, The only problem is the housebreaking. He only goes in the house when he is alone.

He's only inside at night, when it storms, or sometimes, when we want him in. The majority of the time, he's outside. The other day we finished puppy proofing one room in our house, so he could stay there when it rains without him having to be in his kennel or have someone be with him. This room he was very familiar with, and knew not to go to the bathroom i nthere, and never does when we're with him. But we left him in there, and he peed and pooped all over the room. It seems like he knows it's wrong, if I sneak downstairs, I can see him running around, but the minute I come into sight he quickly lays down and acts like he's being good. I don't know how to treat this behavior, we've done stuff such as putting his face near/almost in his feces when he goes in there, and even tried to catch him secretly. Nothing seems to work. Everytime hes alone he goes to the bathroom.

  • Puppy got Neutered... A strange question.?

My puppy got neutered last monday, and I have a strange question, that may sound strange. I thought, when neutered, dogs stop humping things, and didn't get erectons. My puppy has done both. Sorry if I'm wrong, I just that was part of the point of getting a dog neutered, so they would stop humping things.

I'm trying hard to brush and floss often so I don't have to prolong keeping braces like my brother did (he never brushed his teeth) and to keep from that thing that can happen with like the stains.. They gave me a few things to floss with. A thing called super floss, which has a hard end to thread through the braces and a fluffy end to go between your teeth. Another thing which is like those regular flosser things, like the stick with floss across it, but one ends smaller to fit by your braces. And then regular floss. It seems I'm not coordinated enough to get the floss and super floss by my braces wire xD I always look in the mirror and it takes me about 5 minutes just to weave it in to floss one tooth. The flosser thing doesn't work as well as it says, I can fit the edge between my wire and my teeth, but it's not that great for flossing.

When teaching him shake I've started out by picking up his paw, shaking it, telling him good boy and giving him a small treat. I'd repeat it about 10 times, but I still could not get him to give it up himself, even with a little tap to the back of the leg. In all the videos I've watched they've gotten their dog to give up their paw within 2-3 times of telling him good boy and shaking his paw, etc.

We didn't have any dog food, so we fed him some chicken and ham, thinking it shouldn't be to bad, as we had to give him his worm medicene anyways. We fed him abou an hour ago, and now he's vomitting everywhere. He'd vomit and heave alot, then walk around for about 5 minutes and start again. I think he's finally done, but I'm worried if we feed him to give him the rest of his worm meds he might start to vomit again. We do not have a car to go get food right now, my dad has it. Is there something we can feed him? And also, we have an 8 hour car ride home, is there something we should do to prepare him? I was thinking of letting him sleep in the bck seat with me.

  • Drowsiness right before a soccer game?

Even if I've had plenty of sleep, felt fine before, ate alot, etc. I always feel extremely drowsy, and sometimes even fall asleep in the grass warming up. What could cause this?

There has been no squeaking, "Balls of deaths" or anything horrible, it just seems like play. But the other day they fought. I didn't hear any squeaking but I did hear them run over their cage and hitting into the side of it. So I went to check and one of them (Mr.Nubs) had a cut on his back. It wasn't bleeding, but it was red as if it had been. I immediately separated them, and made sure the wound was closed, but I can't do much as Mr.nubs won't stay still. Right now They are seperated, but I realised that they may have been fighting over food. When I went to feed Mr.nubs (I put her in the other cage) She attacked the food as if she wasn't getting fed. I also noticied that Ed was commonly on the pile of where they put their food. Is there anyway I can put them back together (When I have them out together they act nice) and should I do anything else for Nubs?

I know they can't be released.. but does that mean they're killed? Or are they transported to another captivity type of place for whales, just not performing? Like an aquarium?

My toes stopped hurting, but then it came back, a month later. And this did surprise me. I haven't done any exercise programs since the time before. It hurts on my two toes right before the very last toe (Basically two middle toes.) It kind of came and went away, but usually tiwas there. I thought I could jsut walk it off, and it did end up going away for about a week. Then one morning I woke up, and when I tried to walk there was intense pain at the top of the palm of my foot, and it was hard to walk. Since then I've been wrapping up my foot and staying off it the best I can, and havnt felt much pain when its wrapped up. On the rare occasion I do end up walking on it when It's not wrapped (Like right before bed) And there is intense pain again. Of course I intend to go to the doctor, but I'd like to try to figure out what it is before I end up going on monday.
