  • Why do people do things for recognition?

I recently had a baby and everyone got me something except for my sister. She came to my baby shower empty. She has Plenty of money. So that’s not an isaue. She left saying I’m going to get you something. I left it at that. No biggie. About 2 months later she sends me a video of something She saw on instagram that she thought the baby would like, it was $129, I replied saying, “oh that’s nice she says. She didn’t respond. Then a few days later she sends me the video again, saying this would be nice for the baby. I thought to my self well she did say she would get the baby a gift so my response this time was “Get it for him”. She immediately purchased it, however the item was like a 2 in 1 thing so you would also need to purchase another item so that it would function properly but it cost $240. I purchased the additional item a few days later and when I purchased it I sent her a picture of my son in it enjoying himself. A few days later I posted a picture on facebook of my son in the 2 in one machine., a few SECONDS after I posted the video she texted me and said isn’t that the thing I purchased the baby. I explained yes, along with the other item I purchased. She Immediately got upset bc I didn’t acknowledge her to the Facebook world in my post bc she helped purchase it. But I was just so happy and posting it as my son seemed to love it, Mind you I also spent money on it too. My post said “(He absolutely loves it)

  • Should you get paid for helping plan an event?

I helped my sister plan a huge fashion show. I did NOT help her with the intention of getting paid. I really didn't know what I was getting my self into, I was just trying to help. 3 weeks prior to the show Id talk to her 3-4 times a week for 2 hours planning the show. 3 days before the show I spent the night at her home to assist with anything that she needed help with. My kids also helped her too. On the day of the event she was doing things that should have been done weeks prior and she had me running all around to get everything finalized. She didn't have any one else helping her on the day of so I was the coordinator, decorator, and pretty much the go to person for everyone. It seemed like a job for about 6ppl. Everyone was pulling me here and there and is was super overwhelming. My sister finally called me 2 days later and said a simple "Thank you", I explained to her all the work If put in and how overly tired that I was. She laughed! One of her friends noticed all the work I was doing and said your sister needs to pay you, because you have worked your *** off! She laughed at that too!.. Then before we got off the phone it was pure silence, I told her I had to get back to work since it appeared she had nothing else to say. I feel that she needs to pay me and my kids something because we did a lot to ensure her event was perfect. I shouldn't have to asked her about it she should atleast offer... Your thoughts??

  • Last minute invitations!?!?

I was asked by my ex s mom if her grandkids could go out of town with them. However, they are leaving in a week and says they are going to Disney World & Sea World. All the other grandkids were invited a year ago. Now I have to come up with the money for this week long trip at the last minute. I feel like she asked at the last minute for a reason.. Should I let them go??

  • After the first date he confessed...?

That I looked really nice, and that he felt like "grabbing me", But he didnt want me to think he was a sex crazed person. Not sure what to think of that. I told him I could tell, he asked how?.. I said I could see it in your eyes. He said next time he' d try harder not to make it so noticeable. I told him not to hide his true feelings. Then he said next time I wont. I really like him, but it seems like he's looking to be intimate. I really would like to really get to know him first. What are your thoughts, am I over reacting?

  • Dating in church??!?!?

There is the guy at church that Im interested in, and want to get to know. He always has his bible, and seems to be a good christian man. We are around the same age. I see him all the time... we just never talk. It appears he may be a little shy. (I am too). I feel the urge to start up a convo after service, but I cant get up enough courage. I feel like .. If I keep ignoring my feelings, he will never know how I really feel, and I'll never know if he feels the same way I feel. I want him to take the lead, as men are supposed to, but at the same time I think I might have to make a move. How should I go about this?
