We bought a fixer upper, my budget is beyond tapped out so Im trying to use materials I already have on hand, please keep this in mind when answering. The back patio was enclosed & made into a long add-on room. The ceiling is I believe is some kind of interlocking plastic feeling material that I cannot paint on because it just drips off. I used the spray gun and that seemed to do the trick. After painting a small section I noticed this god-awful pattern on the ceiling. I need the ceilings surface to be flat, no pattern or indentations just FLAT. I say the ceilings SURFACE because the actual ceiling is at an angle. How can I go about doing this? I was even thinking of spray adhesiving some long rolls of paper to the ceiling or spackling the whole damn thing. I cannot sand it off as I attempted an inconspicuos spot and theres particleboard underneath the very thin first layer. Any thoughts on how to get rid off that stupid pattern & make my ceilings surface flat?
