Ok sorry to ask so many questions but I am waiting to see my doctor next week so I just need to ease my worry and get some question prepared to ask her when I see her. I had my yearly mammagram and I read the report myself, it's ok my doctor doesn't mind....too long to esplain. Anyway, turns out my breasts are very dense and though they did find a simple cyst and a fatty lump of fat...they were not able to see if there were any lesions due to my dense breast tissue. So my report says that they cannot tell if there are any lesions in 75% of my breast. Now for someone like me who has already lost one breast to cancer it is pretty scary to get a mammagram that is not clear.
I heard that it's not safe to have more than one mammagram per year. Can I insist that my doctor do further tests because I am not happy with the report I got from the radiology doctor. Please help me out. Thanks for your advice.
