  • How do I find replacement shower door "liner" (and what is this officially called?

I'm trying to fix up my shower, and when I took my shower doors down I noticed the liner (between the shower door internal frame and the glass) needed to be replaced.  Not only is it falling out, but portions of it are growing mold.  I'm having a hard time figuring out what to buy as I don't know the time of the material and the similar items I'm seeing look a bit different.

The liner in question for me appears to be some kind of clear flexible silicon  and has an inset to fit around the glass. It goes all around the shower door (not just the bottom)

  • What is the best paint to use to to touch up an black aluminum sliding door?

I’m looking for ideas to touch up the external side of an aluminum sliding door frame. Color is a flat black. I’m not going to be able to detach the door, so spray paint is out. Any ideas? I’m looking for something short term that will do an adequate job, knowing that spray paint will ultimately deliver the best results.

  • New Condo Sale - Rental Agreement Issues?

I recently bought a condo and just closed escrow last week, but there was something built into the initial offer in which I was to give the seller an additional 45 days after escrow to move out at an agreed upon rental fee. Our escrow company was told at closing by the seller's agent that the seller would be out by August 30th at the latest (within 45 of closing per the original plan). Now my real estate agent is telling me that the seller has come back with a "counteroffer" in which the seller gets at max an additional 90 days to live there for the cost of the HOA and the mortgage for the month (although they're saying he shouldn't need more than 45). Is this type of counteroffer legal at this point in the game, or would there be any risk of the the deal falling through if not agreed upon considering my funds have already been deposited. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonable price to ask above the initial suggested fees?

  • Car Collision - Insurance Coverage or In-Person?

I was at fault in a very minor first accident that involved superficial damage to both vehicles. We exchanged insurance information and I have reported the event, but I heard back from the other vehicle owner later the same day offering to settle on our own without insurance involvement. If I have already reported it to my insurance company and he has no plans to, what will happen if I take him up on his offer?

  • What are these hearing symptoms indicative of?

Someone at work dropped something resulting in a very loud crash. Ever since then (approx. two days), my hearing has gotten very very sensitive to certain noises. It's possible though that I just noticed it at that point and it had started earlier. I don't have a headache and really don't notice any kind of change outside of when dealing with certain tones (flushing toilets for example). My ears aren't really ringing any more than usual, but i do have that seashell sound coming and going. Is anyone familiar with these types of symptoms?

  • How do I get my sister to eat?

I have a little sister, only about ten years old, who refuses to eat her dinner. It doesn't really matter what we have, pretty much the only thing she'll eat are hot dogs and french fries. Everything else she sneaks into the trash can or finds more creative ways to hide it. She does it with almost everything on her plate, so it's not even a specific food or type of food that she avoids. We've tried sitting down with her and waiting until she's done, but we can't really do this every night because she takes two hours longer than everyone else. She isn't worried about her weight or anything like that, although she is incredibly tiny for her age and looks like she's about five. Please, if anyone has any suggestions on what to do, let me know.

  • How do you keep some variable constant in a program like stata?

I need to break down the effect of three independent variables. First, I need to look at one and see the degree to which this affects the dependent variable. Second, I need to see the added effect that the second one has, etc. Does anyone know how to do this using a program such as stata or spss?

  • canceling AT&T service?

If I let my contract with AT&T run out in order to switch providers and I want to keep my number, when and how should I cancel with AT&T and sign up with the other to avoid paying more than I have to? I don't know if you have to cancel maybe the day after your contract expires or they'll charge me for a full month, or if I have a few days after the contract expires during which they won't charge me anything for the service.
