### I need the name of a book about a tribe that lived in the trees with dog companions that chose them for life and a girl from another village?

I can't remember the name of this book I read and I need the name. It was about multiple tribes living after technology was destroyed. One was a tribe in the trees who had dog companions that chose them for life and another tribe who loved in the woods and moon sickness would infect them and the medicine woman had to cleanse them every third night. I think her name was lena and the daughter mari. She was hjalf of each tribe and a dog escaped from the other tribe to choose her.
