• Where did the laser guitar idea come from?

  Looking back on my childhood shows, one thing they had in common was that the main character played a guitar with a laser on it. Here's the list from memory:

  - Spongebob Movie (2004): Goofy Goober Guitar

  -Duck Dodgers (2006)- In Space, No One Can Hear You Rock: Dave Mustang's Laser Guitar

  - Fairly Odd Parents (2009) - Wishology Part 1: The White Wand

  As far as I could research I found Halyx, a band from the 80s that had a laser for its bass guitar-playing wookie. Are there any older reference points?

  When I see people stage dive they just jump and lay on their backs as the crowd of people holds and moves them around with their heads. Do they people in the crowd have to be very strength to lift them up?

• Storing trumpet in backpack?

  I have a band class this evening, which is out of the ordinary for my schedule. Immediately after this class, I have another one on the other side of campus. It is easily a 20 minute walk and I have 15 minutes to get there. I would like to use my bike, but it is hard to do with a trumpet case. Would my horn be fine for storing it in my nearly empty school bag just this one time? There is no instrument storage for band people. I don't wanna break it or anything of the sorts.

• I have a weird taste in music... is there like an official name for it?

  My taste in music is somewhat normal, but when asked my favorite genre of song, idk what to say.

  There is a certain type of music which is beautifully haunting, usually slower tunes, usually softer, some are creepier while others are almost sad; they give me this feeling I can’t quite describe, which is somewhere between longing, nostalgia, sadness, and that admiration you get when listening to something truly beautiful.  There are quite a few songs which have become my favorite, which all follow this theme: Lavender Town Haunting, DK 64’s Frantic Factory, and Long, Long Forgotten from Bendy and the Ink Machine are probably the top 3.  They’re mostly from video games or other media’s, almost never a song on their own.  Is there a name for this type of music besides ‘creepy, beautiful music’ or something? Or another genre which it would fit into? I’m just wondering since I really, really love this type of music.  I was also wondering if there was any more songs you guys knew of that were similar.  Thanks so much, lol 😭 I’m mainly just curious and bored at this point, which is why I’m asking here
