• What is a good bank to setup a checking account for the military?

I'm shipping out to Fort Jackson next year and my recruiter gave me this Direct Deposit Sign-Up Form and told me to sign up for a checking account. I'm just wondering what bank would be a good choice.

Long story short, I've taken out multiple payday loans and the minimum repayments per month now eat up most of my piddly £1k per month wages. I started borrowing from these a few years ago and have borrowed from more and more different lenders and have borrowed off some to pay off another. I have lied on the application form slightly when they ask what are my total credit commitments per month, but when they have done a credit check on me they have paid no attention to my shocking credit score. I have credit cards as well which I am always on time paying the minimum monthly repayments. Basically I just want to know if I can complain and perhaps get some compensation rebated or something. I see all these companies advertising that they could get you thousands in compensation. It is my fault I've got myself in this mess, but surely the lenders should see red flags that once I've finished repaying a loan, I go right back in and borrow again...often for more over a longer period. Thanks.

So I hate my current job and am looking for another one. This past week, I did a paid trial shift with another company (they do this instead of a traditional interview). I decided this other job wasn t for me and will not be working with them any further. The paycheck I received from this trial shift came out to less than $100. The manager said that I didn t have to worry about declaring anything less than $500. Is this true? For reference, I live in Orange County, CA.

  • Why do servers deserve 20 percent or more tips but a delivery driver often gets less than 10?

A delivery driver drives their own car around town spending money on their own gas.. a server walks back and forth from a kitchen.. a bartender stands there and pulls a handle.. it's like the more work you do and more expense you bear the less you deserve in return.. and the less you do the more you deserve..

Best answer: Both are stable. Both are screwed if the economy crashes.

Here's one thing you don't hear anyone talk about. What happens if the government changes the rules? Let's say the government keeps borrowing and gets in really bad shape and just has to raise taxes. Who do you think they will tax first? The 401k people or the Roth people?

It will be the Roth people, because they are the ones who get money out tax free. The government could change the rules to say the money you put in remains tax free, but the gains will be taxed, either at capital gains rates or normal income rates.

The 401k people will already be paying normal income tax when withdrawing, so they won't be targeted.

That's why I went with the 401k route. At sometime when I'm retired, in the next 20-40 years, the government might be in bad enough shape to change that rule, and it won't effect me.

About a week ago, i applied for a job online for a management and consulting company. I didn't think I'll get a call back because i ZERO experience in that field. But for some strange reason, i did and the recruiter scheduled me an interview with their executive. I was told to dress professional, which i did, the interview went okay but it was kind of quick. The executive asked me a few questions and explained the different positions and opportunities with their company. He told me he'll call me for an second interview if they were interested. I was pretty sure i wasn't getting a call back, but surprisingly, i did. He told me this interview will be a more in depth interview and I'll be shadowing some of the employees. He also told me to dress business professional(suite&tie). That's where my little problem comes in. I do not own a suit because I've never had to wear one because I've worked in a warehouse since i was 18 (I'm 22 btw). All i own are a pair of dress shoes, 2 pair of dress pants and 2 dress shirts and 3 ties. I went shopping for suits and realized how pricy they were. I immediately got discouraged because if i got the job, that's how I'll have to dress most of the time and buying a suit is not quite in my budget at the moment but i really want the job. Should i just spend the money or just cancel the interview?

With no previous contact I received a telephone call today telling me that I had a month to find another brokerage. I wish to challenge this. Where do I go for help? Thank you.

You get back whatever is listed on W-2 for income tax withheld.

Plus, if you qualify for the earned income credit, then you get that too.

  • Four years ago, my man friend moved into my house, with everything that had been in his much larger home, which had been foreclosed on.?

Best answer: but he resents having to do this. A lot of my belongings are going, too

Have you sat down and gone over finances with him? He should be grateful to have a place where he gets to live rent free. He's lost one house because of poor money management, don't let him do this to you also.
