My baby niece has recently under went a lot of change for a 7 month old. Her mom walked out on the family so I’m now raising her. I have her twenty one hours a day, as my brother (the father) works third shift and literally sleep his life away. He takes her home to spend time with her for a little under three hours per day. Her mom has seen her for about a total of twelve hours since she left two or three months ago. They don’t seem to think this would put any stress on their child, but I’m the one paying for it. I only recently got her to the point where she will sleep six full hours a night, but when she needs to nap she fights sleep. Obviously she needs a nap, otherwise she’s bawling because she’s tired. The only way i can get her to sleep is by sitting on the floor next to her bouncer and bouncing her constantly. She’ll fall right asleep, but she cries while being asleep and if i ignore it, it eventually wakes her back up and we’re at the beginning all over again. It isn’t practical at all to have to spend her entire napping period bouncing her, as she still takes up to three a day and I have her two older siblings to tend to, plus my own child, and house work.

  • Why don’t babies talk?

Babies only cry. Why is that? Why can’t they talk? Is crying the only way a baby can communicate how they feel?

Hi there! Myself and my girlfriend are having a baby and money is going to be a little tight. So I would hugely appreciate any money making ideas to help us out. We both work full time. I have considered getting a part time job in a pub but I'm not entirely keen on spending more hours away from my baby and leaving all the baby workload on my girlfriend, so a part-time job is my last resort. My girlfriend is also considering selling breast milk as there's apparently a market for that, particularly in the body building scene, but we don't really know what online platform allows us to sell the breast milk. So my questions are: What little money making ideas are there for a little extra cash? What online platform can we sell breast milk? Many thanks

I have a 7 month old with acid reflux and he cries non stop and wants to be held all the time. His doctor had us get tests done and she nothing's wrong with him that he'll just grow out of it. He won't sleep through the night unless he sleeps with me. He sleeps in his crib till about 3 am and he wants to be held constantly. Nobody can handle watching him more than a few hours and says he just wants mom. I had a to quit my job because my husband couldn't handle him.'I have a 2 year old too and I get no time with her. I've had 4 nights off in the 7 months he's been alive and 1 day where someone watched him more than a few hours. He won't take bottles 50 percent of the time. He makes it impossible to wean because he straight up refuses to eat and will just scream. He won't take pacifiers, he never liked the swing or rocker or mamaroo bouncer. I've tried different sleep methods including the cry it out method. My husband offers to watch him while I do something but then he calls and texts the whole time saying how he's screaming. I honestly feel like I'm going crazy and I'm starting to resent my own baby for putting strain on my relationship with my first child and relationship with my husband. I haven't had a night alone with my husband in months. I never expected people to baby sit him a lot but maybe once or twice a month. I can't eat, cook, clean, shower, or go to the bathroom without screaming. What can I do?

I was having a discussion with a friend of mine and I said that I didn’t want to breastfeed. The idea makes me extremely uncomfortable due to personal reasons. I just don’t think I can bring myself to do it. She told me that I was going to be an unfit and selfish mother. Which I shouldn’t be bothered by since she smoked during both her pregnancies and during breastfeeding. Her daughters (twins) even have issues because of it. However, it still annoys me since I’m fully prepared to make sure the baby is well fed. I’ve been bought the formula I was required to have as a child because I was extremely sick and HAD to take formula. I have also seen many Facebook and Pinterest post where moms who exclusively breastfeed are bashing those who don’t. They usually say things like the kids will be unhealthy and mentally delayed. I know that breastfeeding has more benefits than formula, but those are kinda cancelled out when you feed the kid nothing but Spaghetti O’s and corn dogs (as my aunt did and now has three unhealthy children.) I’ve even seen post where the authors say that the moms who are unable to breastfeed aren’t trying hard enough and should have CPS called. (I’ll say those are the extremist.) Said friend sent the following article to me. http://www.thealphaparent.com/how-to-win...

I had my 1st and only baby, may 3rd 2016, 6 days after my 30th bday. I was in somewhat in a bad mood before he came that he didn't arrive 3 days before my bday on his due date, but I was told ur 1st born can sometimes can come l8r than expected, but what i wasn't schooled on was post partum depression or anxiety and just so happened I heard about it while i was pregnant b/c Hayden Pannietere was dealing with ppd, i didnt think it was real, but God sure showed me. I was induced and wasnt dilating. I developed a fever and my son wasn't coming so they told me they were gonna have to perform a c section. I was fine even though i did want a natural birth in my hospital room, but if that's what it took for him to come into this world then I was fine w/ it. I was fine the whole week he was born until that following tues when he was 1wk old and post partum anxiety kicked in with no warning, i was back on my anxiety medicine that always worked (s) for me, but it's like my brain stopped reacting to it. I was out of my mind gone like i was in a constant dream and lasted from may 10- aug27, 2016 and went back on the same anxiety medicines i started back taken after my baby was born and it automatically started working again in late august. My husband and i had a bad argument the night before my ppa kicked in and the next day our arguemnt was all i could think about right b4 my ppa kicked in. So im wondering if my hormones were sensitive and that caused mt 3 1/2 hell ride with ppa.
