I'm not a mum but I find it stupid and unnecessary when some mums that breastfeed criticise mums that bottle-feed. It's all personal preference. I know babies may not be getting the nutrition in formula milk that they are with breastmilk but some mums that bottle-feed admit that they pump breastmilk into the bottle and feed instead. Some mums can have a medical condition or they don't produce enough milk so they have no choice but to bottle feed. Also they probably don't like the idea of breastfeeding in public. It makes them extremely uncomfortable. I know breast milk is better, but at the end it's your choice and you may have a reason as to why you don't breastfeed. I don't see what is so wrong with that.

  • Sore baby neck folds?

Best answer: Yeah I wass just going to say being unhygienic can cause this (but you wash her regularly, so that shouldn't be a problem). Eczema is another particular issue, it tends to occur more in folds as well. Eczema can occur when the babies skin is weak. This can be aggravated if a person washes their child too much... show more

  • Cloth diapers or disposable diapers?

I am a new mom and don’t know what is better, cloth diapers are better for the environment and you won’t have to smell your kid’s sh*t in the trash can. I’ve always found them gross though because it’s like shitting in underwear. And then you have to fu*king clean the sh*t off, like oh my god that’s disgusting.... show more

The only advantage for cloth is not having the crap smell in the trash can, which smells really gross.

I did introduce cereal and food about 3 weeks ago but doesnt seem to have any reactions cause she is fine until she hits the bed. Any ideas???

  • Would you use a daycare if they were really great except the tv was on a lot?

Best answer: One of our daughters spent about half a year with a babysitter who was good in many ways, but who had the t.v. on all the time.

We found the constant noise stressed out our daughter, and we moved on to a different sitter, so no, I would not.

  • I'm 23 and I've never held a baby?

Best answer: any general hospital will let you hold any of the babies in the nursery. most don't even mind if you just let yourself in and help yourself. as long as you're gentle they will respect your desire.

I often give supplies when gender is unknown. Things like baby powder, baby oil, baby shampoo, baby lotion, bibs, and other useful items make great gifts.

Small blankets are another great choice - again - there are many gender neutral options.
