• Why does some of my family still have their Christmas lights up when Christmas is long over?

Best answer: My parents when the got older, kept the Christmas lights up outside on the house and the balcony year round. During the Christmas/New Years Season they would turn them on only then. It was one less job to do. And the only time they would fuss with the lights is to replace the bulbs that burn out.

The problem is that it becomes a habit for her to threw away expensive stuff (by accident of course). The first time she throw away a huge bag with decoration stuff from AC moore which was sitting in the chair in the basement. Now she throw away several hundred dollars japanese watch that I bought for my husband. The box was on the dining table because I was about to return the watch back to the mall and get another model he likes more. When I ask her just not to touch anything and not to clean she gets offended. I mean these accidents cost a lot. Total waste that went to trash ( and got picked up by a garbage truck) is around $500. I just needed to share...

My doctor put me on medication that stopped my periods. It is wonderful. I don’t have these terrible pains each month. My problem is the medication that stops my periods is also a birth control. My mother is a devout Catholic who believed that anyone that takes birth control is going to hell. My brother said we should just let this be our secret and not tell my mother what I am doing. He said if she knew I was on birth control, it would cause her needless worry. Do you think he is correct in us keeping this secret?

Obviously, if you're alone with him and anything he says or does scares you, call the cops (Ignore idiot advice like call CPS). Don't worry about Mom. If you have good reason to be scared, and she knows you're scared, she's being incredibly selfish. There's no reason you can't fight back if you need to.

Hey I'm 21 and live at home with my mum and sister. The thing is my sister has problems and is supposedly classed as 'ill', she is absolutely discusting and the house is a constant mess let alone hearing her screatching voice etc every night towards my mum because she's a spoilt brat. Here's a perfect example... she goes in the kitchen and uses about six plates a day and leaves everything a mess without putting anything away such as leaving milk and butter open on the work top along with rubbish she can't be bothered to even put in the bin! It's disgusting! The house does my head in on a daily basis and until I have work that is more permanent there's not much I think I can really do. My mum defends her if I retaliate to this mess of a house hold and does not give her any punishment what so ever, in fact I even got kicked out last summer over this waste of a human because of how angry it was making me but I'm always the bad one if I have a say! she is 18 years old and acts 6! Sometimes I feel bad and tidy up her **** so that my Mam doesn't have to, it makes me angry on a constant basis and don't know what I can possibly do apart from suffer in my own lack of happiness over this waste of space. My voice is never heard because if I show my anger I'm apparently being a ****. I know this sounds a minor rant but it feels like a big problem for me and shouldn't have to be around this garbage. This is basically my current life in a nutshell.

    Best answer: Yes

A good smacking is needed. You are spoiled and ungrateful. Since you refuse to eat she should simply cut you off. Why should she let you eat the groceries she buys? After all you aren't hungry and are ungrateful.

  • What would you do if you drove by and you saw an 8 year old do this?

My sister and brothers say that I am passive aggressive and that i run away from my problems. In some instances when i get really frustrated or angry, I always put on my headphones and play music or I go into my car and blast music. Music and being by myself helps me calm down. , I honestly feel more calm and I always come back to the issue but whenever I do, I’m told that I am passive aggressive so I never get to resolve the issue from my pov. I only use my headphones when I am at my edge of just bursting out in pure anger and I do get physically violent. In my college mental health class, my professor said that it would be important for us to find things that let go of stress or anger and anything related to that type of thing. I found mine (music) which is why i do it to avoid those things. My siblings and my mother were going at me for an entire car ride (15 mins) and when we got home. I reached for my headphones because I was too angry to argue any more but my older brother grabbed it out of my ears and demanded a response (I wanted to take my car to school out of city but my brother and mother didn’t trust me driving so far, I’ve had my license for 2 and a half years and I have been driving a lot!) which made me push him away. I do feel bad for pushing him but I honestly kinda don’t too because of he took away. Am I what they call me? should I switch something up?

I am the father of three kids (one with ex-wife, two with my fiancée). And my first son who is almost twenty-one has been making me and my fiancée's lives a living hell and I don't know what else to do because he is on the verge of falling out with me completely. It seems that my other kids, who are 6 and 11, are more mature than he is. He has only worked a few jobs for a few days, and has quit every single one for whatever reason. He lived with us until six months ago, when we set him up for college and a few room mates to stay with (who we personally know). He seemed ecstatic about this so he packed his bags and left. I was happy he was going because I was already fed up of hearing him argue with my fiancée, who he never liked since the day she met him. Well, a few months later, we received emails from his room mates asking if we can take our son back to the house. Because apparently, he's quit college and isn't getting along with them at all. He's locked them out of the apartment at times and has invited his friends over without permission. So, we talk to him, and he's expecting me and my fiancée to pay for a new apartment he can move in himself, and said his room mates are all sorts. We responded by saying no (we gotta pay for our own needs and our two other children), and now, he's sending fairly abusive mail calling us useless. We stopped paying for his bike and he's not happy about me getting married and trying to turn me against my fiancée. What else can I do?

No homework ,no clean room, talking back 24/7, I got a call from her teacher the other day about her being disrespectful.... I’ve been in the military for most of my life it’s either my way or no way So when her mom asked her to clean her room yesterday She just said “Later” And she never cleaned it, so when I came into her room today it want like this- “What did mom tell you to do yesterday?” “I don’t care what she says” “Gett off your phone and give it to me,I’m taking to you so have some respect and look at me when I’m taking to you, I’ve raised you better than this ” “Why do I always need to do what you say?! I don’t want to clean my room or give you my phone!” At this point his voice started raising “You live in my house, eat from my food , you have clothes to wear, you go to school! And until you live underneath my roof you’re going to do what I say no questions asked! Am I clear enough? Now give me your phone and do your homework” “ wow dad just stop being so annoying I’m not going to do my homework right now” “You getting an education isn’t open for discussion … ever. so sit your *** down and do as you are told” I ended up grabbing the phone out of her hand and slapped her, yes I know I should have never hit her. but I could never imagine that I raised that much of a brat! And yes I do regret that slap. but for the first time in a while I saw a clean room and well made homework.
