    Is this laminate flooring?

Idk what kind I have in house. It's scratch up and damage. Trying to see what is and how much it cost to replace laminate flooring. My home is 1675ft? I only want to replace kitchen and living room floor right now.

If you have sliding sash windows you can get box fans (try argos) and set them up to make a draught by clamping them in the window. On the cooler side of the house set the fan up to draw air in whilst on the warmer set the other fan the other way round to push air out. It's pretty effective.

As the heat is projected to last you could just decamp to downstairs for the rest of the summer. When I was little I lived in a very hot a humid part of the states due to my father's job. Every summer there'd be blackouts as the demand for electricity overwhelmed the grid. One year they lasted a long time and the house just got too hot to sleep upstairs, so we decamped downstairs to the shady side of the house where it was much cooler and treated it as an adventure.

  • Friend left me with loads of junk when he left.?

Best answer: You need to tell this man that unless he collects all his stuff in the next week (no longer than that) you'll donate it to charity. You want everything out of your house and you don't care what happens to his stuff. Tell him this and mean. If he really wants the bean bag, he'll find a way to collect it.

  • Is 135K a good price for a kitchen remodel and adding a master bathroom?

This is the price I was given from my design / Contractor company. It’s a very reputable company and I know they do quality work. Another, smaller company quoted me 90k for the same projdct. I think the first company will do better work but is this price sky high?

  • Should all my bedroom furniture match?

Best answer: Many people are happy decorating with eclectic, or mixed, style. If you worry about it being all matchy, that is a total '50s old school notion. Bought into by people who paid too much attention to magazine ads.

Recently I had an incident in my apartment. A guy hit the wall with his truck and I had to replace some side wood studs and a window. The window did not broke, but it was not straight, so it had to be replaced. I did not get a permit from the city because it was just a replacement, there was no electrical or plumbing work involved. But now, code enforcement department is requiring me to provide plans and a building permit by a licensed professional. After 4 weeks of requesting the plans I finally have them with me, but the problem is that not a single contractor that I have called wants to get the permit for me. I called code enforcement to request an extension, but it expired and they are increasing the penalty fee. What can I do if no contractor wants to help me? Update: insurance paid me for labor, material and inspection right after everything was completed. Now I have to pay for the plans, permit and any additional cost out of my pocket. This is in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. Thank you

It will need to get ripped up, patched and resealed then the floor replaced. you need to contact your housing association and barring that a fully licensed contractor(even to just come take a look at it. doesnt hurt to ask) if the housing association says the same thing. then you take it up to the next level if they refuse to budge on it.

  • Does making a room Soundproof, for Music recording anyhow reduce the ventilation for it?

Best answer: It depends on how loud your music is, and how much you want to reduce the sound. You will not make it entirely soundPROOF if it was not built specifically for the purpose - sound can travel through the structure of the building extremely well - (don't forget to pay attention also to ceiling and floor). Any serious attempt at sound reduction is bound to affect the ventilation - after all, you ARE trying to seal it off from the outside, and if air can get in or out, so can at least some of the sound. I would not consider it adviseable to try this in the room in which you sleep.
