  • Why does my Tesla NC 420 turntable buzz when I turn it on? What do I need to make it work?

Found a turntable at some market for cheap, I don t know if it works. I m an absolute noob in this, but I connected it and it all spins a vinyl but only a very loud buzz is coming from the speakers. What do I need to add? A transformator? What is it called? How do I connect it?

  • What's the best way to power 4 2000w car amplifiers at home?

What's the best way of going about doing this? I only need the car amplifier to run at full tilt for less than 20 minutes since movies would probably never use that much power and I doubt I could take that much volume for longer than that. Also, would I be able to connect a battery charger in parallel so that I can keep the battery charged when the amps are not being in use? is there anything bad in keeping the battery charger connected whilst the amps are being in use?

Best answer: Sure. Apple still makes iPod so people must be using them. Apple doesn’t become the most valuable company by selling stuff that people don’t buy.

For my needs, assuming a smartphone is being used, wireless headphones when I know I will be talking (using the phone part of the smartphone); wired when listening to music for a long time.

When I'm on location or editing, then wired, full-ear muff, noise cancelling headphones (no mic).

  • Best studio headphones for producing?

I'm a fairly new producer and i need to upgrade my equipment. I can't get studio monitors because I live with my family and have paper thin walls. So I have to resort to headphones. Any recommendations? I've been looking at the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 250 Ohm. Preferably under $200

If I had to pick one budget-wise, what would I pick to make the most out of it? Also when it comes to phones, is it mostly hardware? earphone model? file type (mp3, aac, flac)? Like I said, I'm guessing it's a combination of all those elements, but is there an element I should put more focus on?

  • Is my PC headphone jack broken?

Best answer: As Andy said - chances are that the accident caused the inside of the audio socket to get bent or damaged. If you DID have access to another set of earphones, you could see if it is the jack (gotta wiggle, position things) or perhaps a wire in the headphones. So when a friend is over, ask to try THEIR headphones.... show more

If you DID have access to another set of earphones, you could see if it is the jack (gotta wiggle, position things) or perhaps a wire in the headphones. So when a friend is over, ask to try THEIR headphones. Otherwise, you need repair. Do not know what kind of rig your have, to see if there is a workaround - another audio port in the back, Bluetooth capabilities. So while you cannot listen to music - kindly and gently teach your dog to NOT come near the computer. Who's a good boy? YOU ARE!!

This has happened to all of us. I have learned to be more careful over the decades - I handle over a hundred grand in music equipment every day of my life. (Mainly expensive classical instruments we own, and quite a bit of nice audio stuff.) So I do not drop things, rip things out, SWIM WITH A PHONE, or any other things that a nanoscond of thought would slap me out of my momentary stupidity. You did not do this - it was the dog - so gotta be kind an patient, so he will learn to show his love for you AWAY from your stuff. Take him outside, and wear him out on a run, or playing catch. He loves YOU - and sounds like he needs more exercise time with you.

  • What's the best professional digital piano I can get that I can connect a microphone and studio headphones to? One that is under $200?

I've been searching online but I just wanted to be sure that whatever I get is satisfactory and legit. So, here I am asking for what I should get. Hopefully, I can get an answer from someone who has musical experience and will know what they are talking about.
