I took him to the vet and he isn't chipped. He isn't fixed or declawed either, we're becoming attached to this cat and he's so sweet with the 2 year old and our cats (2) and dog. How long do we have to wait for someone to claim him before we can keep him as our own?

  • Can I meet women by walking my cat on a leash in the park or will they find it creepy?

All my friends with dogs take them out for walks and they get a lot of attention from women. I don't have a dog, but I have a cat. He's pretty good natured and can be walked on a leash. What do you think?

  • Cat problem?

Best answer: Get a litter box, fill it with soft dirt from outside, and let him use that as a litter box. He is having accidents because he has nowhere to go. You may have a litter box he can use, but he doens't know that you are supposed to pee and poop there, because he does that in the dirt outside. So go outside,... show more

My last vet visit was a year ago and they did blood tests and didn't find any sickness there, but he might be sick now. I don't want him to suffer, so how will I know if it's a good time to get him euthanized?

  • Why do people still insist on buying or finding a cat by its breed?

Best answer: It's because it makes them feel special saying they have a pure bred cat. It's all about flaunting and showing off. I'll take my shelter cats any day.

  • My kitten is coughing?

Best answer: I would take him back to the vet and get him checked for an upper respiratory infection. Coughing could be just the beginning. My kitten just got over it and he's been sick since we going him, almost two months ago.

I found a little kitten about a month ago under my car (I'm guessing my car was still warm after driving it) and immediately took the kitten to the vet, they run a 24/7 emergency care centre. I decided to keep him. They supplied me with kitten formula, taught me how to feed him, how to get the kitten to go to the bathroom (gross, I know but I had to do it), etc. The vet determined that my kitten had no injuries. I am seeing the vet again next week and have been told that it's getting time to wean my kitten off milk, my kitten is 4 weeks old. Kitty refuses feeding from a bowl. He will cry when I try to get him to eat, but I don't want to deny milk to him because I'm scared he will go hungry. I'm going to ask them how to do this, but I can't refuse his feedings. How do you start weaning a kitten?

    - Couples who get an animal together, break up, and neither want the animal.
    - People who get the wrong one they aren't prepared to deal with (example: Getting an energetic dog type while they're a couch potato, Getting a long haired cat type when you're not committed to brushing and combing regularly etc)
    - Get an animal on a whim but then dump it when the realization sets in that they require actual work.
    - People who dump them once they're not cute little puppies/kittens or when they get too old.
    - People who dump them when they've grown up looking like something they don't approve of.
    - People who dump them because the owners forgot you actually need to train your cats/dog's to hit be a nuisance.
    - People who domp them because they can't afford their care.
    - People who dump them because they decided they can't possibly deal with being a pet owner and a parent
    - People who dump them because they can't understand why their animal is destroying their home and belongings.
    - People who dump them because they couldn't be bothered trying to find rental properties that allow their pet.
    - Some are found as strays and have had owners who didn't chip their animal and didn't do enough shelter searching to locate them (or straight up didn't other looking in the first place or did a half arsed search)
    - Some are dumped because the original owner died or got sick and couldn't care for them.
    - Some end up there when their elderly owners are put into homes that don't allow pets
