• Spiritually: What do you think of psychedelics, can they benefit humanity in any way?

Best answer: Oh, hi there! I had a feeling this might be your question, actually... You already know my story, so I won't have to tell it again. But suffice to say, these substances have completely changed my life! In the best way possible! And I will always be incredibly f*cking grateful for that. <3 :) To start off... show more

But suffice to say, these substances have completely changed my life! In the best way possible! And I will always be incredibly f*cking grateful for that. <3 :)

To start off with the bad side of things: I think it's important for us to acknowledge that absolutely NO drug fits all! And this also goes for psychedelic drugs.. There are a few people who shouldn't trip. People whose mental health is too fragile. Because it can actually have a bad effect on those people! Maybe ESPECIALLY the ones that are vulnerable to psychosis, etc... And I think it's just as important for the pro-psychedelic movement to admit this, as it is for the anti ALL drugs people to recognize that stories like mine exist. :)

That being said, though, I think the VAST majority of people could really benefit from it! And maybe especially EITHER in a closely guided therapeutic setting, OR in more of a shamanic/ceremonial setting. Depending on their preferences... As for the kind of stuff it can help you with..? I think basically anything! It can help you resolve deep personal issues, and come to love and accept yourself for who you are.. It can show you more of your life's purpose. It can help you find meaning and beauty in life, in a way you were previously unable to. Snap you out of self-destructive habits, like addiction, (I hear iboga is especially good for this), or depression.. Or just show you how much f*cking LOVE there is! How much you love the people around you! I know it's VASTLY improved my own relationships, because of that... And I feel like it just generally often makes you a kinder, more open, more accepting person! In fact, there's scientific research indicating that psychedelics bring about dramatic LONG-TERM, (and quite possibly even permanent), increases in the personality trait called "openness to experience"! Which is normally a static core trait, that does NOT tend to change very much in people, throughout their lives... So that's interesting, no? :)

I feel like personally, it has also really helped increase my empathy, so that I now FEEL people in a much deeper way. And I know of people who were pretty sh*tty, who had psychedelic experiences where they were shown that, and it helped them WANT to become better people! Plus also, there's the whole potential for mystical experience, leading to deep spiritual awakenings... (*Cough*.. me.. *Cough*.) And that can VERY much change someone's life for the better! And I've heard it can go the other way too.. That it can help people that are stuck in VERY dogmatic, bigoted, oppressive religions realize that reality is SO infinitely bigger than that! Which I guess can be quite a spiritual experience, in and on itself... And I feel like, after you've been there, it just changes ALL your f*cking paradigms! And you've got more of an incentive to maybe also explore some other spiritual practices, that can take you to similar places.. (That's what I've been doing, for the last few years.) And it's just easier to return, even without the drugs.. It just basically opens up your reality, to ALL of these new levels! Which is a thoroughly beautiful thing.. And I'm much happier now, because my reality is SO much more than what it used to be! So much more beautiful, so much more sacred, so much more connected.. <3

..On the more practical, technological side of things, I hear there are also people who take acid, say, in order to come up with creative new inventions! I know Steve Jobs credited it for a lot of his success.. And this scientist named Francis Crick discovered the DNA double helix while on an LSD trip... Which was KIND OF a big deal! (He won the Nobel Price for his achievements, says Google.. :-P)

So saying it could NOT benefit humanity..? Would be misguided to the nth degree! But I think, the main problem the establishment used to have with it, way back when..? Was the fact that it could not conveniently be categorized as: "THIS is what it does to people! In all cases!" It was much too unpredictable for that... As it does such different things to different people! Depending on their brains, their history, their personalities, their set and setting, etc... So they couldn't replicate the SAME experience in all of their subjects, and sell it as a cure-all for <insert illness here>! Plus the fact that it basically dissolves reality, and everything you think you know about reality, and changes people's personalities like that, at their very core..? Was pretty f*cking scary to a lot of people, obviously! So better to just demonize and outlaw it, then... *Shrugs sadly.*

..Okay, I am going to ACTUALLY, legit stop writing now. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to ramble on and on about this... It is one of my favorite rambling topics. :-P

  • Why is my hard work always got transferred to success of others but not my own?

Losing is not my original intention. I original intention is to work hard to achieve my dream by winning. But luck or odd somehow interfere that others take my results. But my hard work also enhances the competition and inspires others. Does that mean I am still valuable and loved by God? I am a kind man.
