• Do you give the garbage staff or mail/package delivery people on your route a winter holiday tip or gift?

Garbage & recycling staff, mail delivery people, security guard, parking lot attendants... for what industries do you provide gifts during the holidays? If you gift cash or a gift card, how much do you give them?

I ve tried him in different cages but he completely freaks out in a new environment and won t settle. He chews his water bottles and has broken three so far, I ve got one that won t break but he s trying his best by chewing the metal. I ve even tried giving him walnuts to break into but he waits until during the day to do that and then gets back to chewing the bottle at night. He is in a quiet, dim room but just tried to make as much noise as possible. I ve tried so many different things but he just goes back to his bottle. And occasionally the bars. Please help!!

I just got a new gerbil yesterday at petsmart. I went to go buy a pair but they found the other one dead in its cage :(. I brought home a 3 month old gerbil and I've been taking good care of it. I've been kind to it and calm yet she's still very afraid of me. If i tryto get it to sniff my fingers, she bites me really hard and it draws blood. I'm not sure what to do. It stuffed its hiding place (or bed) with bedding and only comes out of it for food and water or to use the bathroom. I added a lot of chew toys like pieces of cardboard and store-bought sticks. I also think she's pooping in random places rather than one area. I don't understand why she's so stressed as I haven't bothered her for quite a while and it seemed like she was enjoying the spacious cage. My family and I decided to give it this weekend for the gerbil to soften up or we were going to take it back to the pet store. I know i'm not being patient enough but I want a less aggressive one! Has anyone had a very bitey gerbil like mine?? How do I get it to like me?

About three weeks ago I bought two female fancy mice from the local petshop. They have a very large cage equipped with toys, houses etc. They seem very happy and get along very well. The only problem I have is that one of the females is extremely aggressive. To the point where I could be walking past the cage and she tries to bite me. She's drawn blood many times and I respond by gently giving her a little flick not to hurt her but to try and teach her that it's not ok to bite. I never try and grab them. The most I do is lay my hand palm up with they're favourite food in the middle to let them get accustomed to me and crawl on my hand on their own accord. I always wash my hands before handling so they don't smell of food and I never feed them with my fingers or put my finger any where near them. It's gotten to the point where even if I'm filling up their food she will race down from the third story of her cage and try and bite my wrist or fingers. She will even race at the bars of the cage if she sees me walk past and if I'm close enough will try and bite me. Unfortunately it's gotten to the point where I'm scared to even clean their cage and the other female (whom I never had a problem with before) is beginning to bite. I spent over $100 on a fully decked out three story cage and toys and food and treats and I love my mice but it's gotten to the point where I'm afraid I'll have to get rid of them. This is my last chance.
