• Worse show on TV now.?

Best answer: The View. The women all get together and scream a lot. About something. I do not know what they are screaming about. They all try to talk over one another. Instant Migraine for the viewer. I wish someone had the good sense to cancel that crap fest. Same with Jerry Springer and Maury.

i want to buy watership down on dvd, i am from the uk and last had watership down on vhs in the 80's, but it got lost through the passage of time. i went to the amazon website, amazon uk, and was looking for watership down on dvd, i saw the u.s version on dvd and the uk version, and noticed in the description and details, that the u.s version has a much longer running time? uk version ; Watership Down (Deluxe Edition) [DVD] [1978] -Run Time: 88 minutes u.s version ; Watership Down Deluxe Edition DVD -Run Time: 101 minutes and i want to know why it has a big difference in running times between the two versions? - i can't get the u.s version as i don't have a dvd player which plays both u.s & uk dvds, and can't afford one. and i need help with this because i want to make sure that if i buy watership down- the uk dvd version, that im not getting the edited version with alterations and not the original film as it was first shown in 78? SO, can anyone tell me why possibly the uk dvd version is shorter in running time than the u.s dvd version?

Best answer: I cancelled cable for two years, when I first went back to work and would like to do so again. Currently, I only watch about three new sitcoms per week and when wasting time, I watch old drama marathons on cable. My reasons for not watching are pretty much the same as others; I refuse to watch reality garbage that promotes sleazy lifestyles. I don't give a hoot about the 'sexy' young couples hooking up or not hooking up; I have my own life. I despise the looooooong commercials for 'old people' products that channels insist on putting in classic shows, particularly insurance plans and drug products. Also despise the CONSTANT repetition of short ads, such as cereal ads, that are done within the SAME show. This is beyond stupid. Frankly, cable costs too dang much, for the crappy offerings we get. I have NO interest in sports. Nada. And, I have to search for classic TV shows that I do like. Much as I like the convenience of DVD sets, I do NOT want a shelf full of them taking up space and collecting dust. There has to be a better, less expensive way to do things.

I saw on you tube comments people think this show is hard to follow because too many people are thought to be "A." First of all the whole show is about these girls trying to figure out who A is, so of course there will be different possibilities and different reasons why that person could be A. I've seen all eight seasons and I've never gotten lost. Like with any show, all you have to do is pay attention. Pay attention to the small details as they often lead to big hints or important information. I hate it when people don't pay attention to every detail. I refuse to watch Harry Potter movies with my grandma anymore because she doesn't pay attention to everything then asks me what's going on. If you don't want to be lost in a show or movie you have to pay attention to everything, don't take your eyes off the screen. In Pretty little liars if you take your eyes off the episode you might miss a text message from A that isn't read out loud and therefor have no idea what is going on or why someone did something.

Best answer: Somewhat. Old school Dr. Who was REALLY corny and cheesy. The Brits seem to like that sort of thing (see Red Dwarf and others). The new Who is much better, though still gets cornball at times (Slitheen anyone?). They put no effort into creative time travel rules that are internally consistent, but they're HONEST about it...note David Tennant's Doctor claiming that time isn't logical cause and effect but more like timey-wimey stuff.

The old guy that preceded the newest Doctor was a bummer, but that last season I loved his companions...Bill and uh...Norbert...Nor...something. They were great. As was Me. David Tennant and Matt Smith are my favorite Doctors.

But it you're looking for hard sci fi written with obedience for logic and real science, this show ain't that.
