In the first half of the season, it seemed like he hit a home run every other day. And it's not just about the home runs, as he would always come through with a clutch base hit. Ended the first half with 30 home runs. So he was invited to the Home Run Derby, which he won. He looked kinda lost at the plate in the All Star Game but I didn't think much of it because he was most likely tired from the night before. Anyway, a week goes by, still not coming up with the big hits, so now I'm thinking, okay whatever, it's just a mid season slump. But now, a month later, he literally looks lost, striking out at least once a game, impatiently swinging at everything. And when he makes contact, he either grounds out, pops out, or gets a lucky bloop single. But he managed to get 5 home runs since the break. Call me crazy, but do you think the Home Run Derby is the culprit?

  • What do you guys think about the Mayweather and McGregor fight coming up?

Do I think it'll be a good boxing match? No. Do I think it will be an interesting FIGHT to watch? I do actually. I think McGregor will look extremely awkward by boxing standards as he tries to make the fight as ugly as possible to set up his only real chance to win - one big left hand. I know McGregor has no chance trying to out-box Mayweather... but Mayweather also knows that. For that reason I think it's at least possible that Floyd lets his guard down/loses concentration at some point in the fight (probably because of how thoroughly he'll be dominating it at that point...) and IF McGregor catches him with a big left hand at that moment McGregor certainly has the power to knock him out.

I don't expect McGregor to win but Floyd is older, McGregor is bigger and in his physical prime and also has serious power. That's enough for many people to tune in and see what happens.

Can Jurgen Klopp be the man who ends this historical yet agonising 'title drought' for LFC ? a club once associated with a 'vice like grip' on English football has been reduced to 'chasing' others for the title. Do any of you on here see LFC capable of winning the league anytime soon ? many say, and I mean many - people who support rivals clubs, make one observation about Jurgen Klopps Liverpool teams and say: " capable of beating any of the big spending clubs in epl and in style, able to beat any of the teams in the top 6 with comfort but just too unreliable over the stretch of 38 games to be accoladed as Champions - lose too many games against mid-lower table teams'. but whats your assessment with us ? can we win the title any time soon ? or DEFO not THIS decade ? love to hear from all epl regs ( arsenal, chelsea, man united, spurs fans etc ) lets press the issue ^_^ lol

  • Liverpool vs Hoffenheim, how much did you laugh when Salah messed up that one on one?

What a waste of money, LOL, Liverpool will only make the CL by virtue of Hoffenheim missing a penalty, they're clearly not CL level.

Don't really care about Watford but Liverpool could get top 4 if they strengthen their defence this window. Salah looks really good too. Huddersfield did great, don't care about the other midtable clubs. Chelsea are **** but looked good when Morata came on. City look like they need time to gel and United looked fantastic in their win but West Ham are ****.
