    And in a way he's totally right. I think most of Trump's fans (and certainly those who work for him) know he's a crook and did illegal things. They don't believe Trump should be held accountable for these things. He HAD to do them to accomplish what he wanted to accomplish, and laws shouldn't hamper Republican politicians or the big corporations that sponsor them. His fans don't believe he never colluded with Russians or got foreign sponsorship or ignored the emoluments clause or paid pornstars to keep their mouths shut. They believe he should get a pass on those things, because the alternative was 'communism' or 'fascism' with Hilary (and to most Republicans those words mean exactly the same thing!)
