How do dentists clean or dispose needles? ?

    Favourite answer:

A dentist office (all) are required by law to have whats called a sharps box this is to place used needles or other sharp instruments which then are collected by a biohazard removal  service. Then these boxes   are ran threw a incineration system or autociave (steamed sterilization).

My dentist recommended nitrous oxide for a surgical extraction. Should I take it and why did she do this ?

    Favourite answer:

It helps you relax. It is not overwhelming at all, just a mild effect. It can only help make it easier for you, and her if you are a nervous patient.

I lost a permanent tooth, what do I do?

I was chewing gum and my upper left molar right next to my wisdom tooth came out cleanly by the root! It was already a bit loose before and has been for a long time. I am utterly broke and have no way to get to a dentist so I have no choice but to treat this at home. I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow to see if she can send in a prescription for an antibiotic but I need to know what to do. It didn't bleed very much and it seems to have already formed a blood clot. It is possible to treat it at home, isn't it?

How will a dentist remove this root of my molar? ?

    Favourite answer:

He may use a very small amount of gelignite. You could always ask your dentist. I imagine he will insert a screw of sorts and pull it out or he may even be able to use pliers. Whatever he does you won't feel it as the local anaesthetic will numb the area.

Did you get put to sleep for your wisdom teeth removal?

My dentist says I need my wisdom teeth removed ASAP and I'm really scared because I have a low pain tolerance and I hate going to the dentist anyway. Should I get put to sleep for the surgery? Did you get put to sleep for it?

Should senior citizens continue flossing their teeth?

    Favourite answer:

Daily brushing and flossing of natural teeth is essential to keeping them in good oral health. But mush flossing for senior citizens not good. So use daily brush.
