• Where can I hang myself if I still live at home with parents?

I need a secluded spot with a solid hanging point. (interrupting hanging will leave the person with permanent brain damage, which I want to obviously avoid)

I woke up this morning to find that I had been ‘chatting’ with a No Caller ID for over an hour. I don’t know how I even answered the call, when I said hello I heard static. I ended the one hour call, looked in my Phone app and saw that they had called 2 other times and those lasted 1 minute both. They called again, I declined the call. Again, they called, I answered and said “hello?”, a guy said “Hello?” and I said it back, and then he said “What is wrong with this phone?” I kept saying “hello?” But So, being the extreme scaredy-cat I am, I thought something was wrong with him, maybe he was kidnapped? His voice sounded like he was scared. Or maybe he was just sleeping like I was...? I searched online BEFORE coming on here, and I read this “Now I occasionally get a call from a puzzled person, wondering why I called them...” (RB Nerf, Quora) so maybe this is happening to me too?? (I don’t know how I answered the call, but it’s been happening a lot lately, I always have my phone on mute. But somehow calls just magically get connected on their own, can anyone please help me with that?)

Also, a lot of the smart watches have health features like a pedometer, heart rate monitor (accuracy debatable), stop watch, etc.. which makes it very convenience being outside without having to carry your phone around. You can even load your songs on the Apple Watch and listen to them without having the phone on you.

    Tl:DR: Mostly for convenience.

I got 13 calls yesterday from these people and today 5 so far. I registered my phone number on the do not call list but it’s obvious they are ignoring. I pressed the “take me off the call list” button several times, and pressed the button to speak to a real person before but it never connects. How do I get them to just stop because I can’t afford 10+ calls every day.

  • Do office phones keep record of which phone numbers called them?

Best answer: A landline telephone does not keep records. The switch (computer) located at the central office has a record of what numbers called. If the business has its own PBX (switch) then the business will have records of what number called.

What do I do to get them to stop calling? It’s freaking me out and making me uncomfortable. I think some of them might be telemarketers but I’m too afraid to answer any of the calls. It just says the number and the location they’re calling from.

It will be entered into their call list and you'll likely receive one or more calls from live people trying to lie money out of you. Never pick up infamiliar calls. If the call is legit, a voicemail message will be left. If there is a voicemail message, you'll be able to tell that it's fake by the robotic voice and the tempting offer of a refund by a company that's going out of business. Don't answer unfamiliar calls.

  • What makes the sound on the phone that indicates the other line is ringing?

Best answer: In "the old days", it was generated by an electromechanical device at each telephone exchange office.

Now it is generated by electronic circuits, whether they are part of a computer or not.

    >> Did you know that the sound you hear occurs Between the rings at the other end of the call?
