Most cats can be trained to enjoy riding in a car, walking on a leash (tho not like a dog would but you would just be following them around), or doing basic commands.

Training cats is not like training dogs - you need to work with the individual cat to see what they are best at doing naturally.

I don't know why, but I feel like its the most annoying thing in the world. We have a small place so she screams and moans and tries to rub her butt all over everything. It's an ALL NIGHT THING. she LITERALLy makes that screaming and gurgling noise constantly. I've had cats before, but they were always male. They pee on stuff, but I almost long for that compared to this. I don't have a lot of money, and have family to support, so getting her spayed quickly isn't going to happen. It'll probably take me a few months just to save up the money. I had no idea they came in and out of it like this. I literally am a walking zombie because she makes it impossible to sleep. I wouldn't get rid of her, I'm just being truthful. I'll never own another female cat after her unless I have the money to get her fixed immediately. Holy crap.

Please no lectures about it being bad to have an outdoor cat or the dangers to them. I am very aware of that and this is why I am doing all the research possible first including asking here. My female kitten (almost a year old) is still peeing on clothes. At first it was only clothes left on the ground but now it's in drawers and this morning she peed on my boyfriend's work clothes that he had on the counter! He said I have 3 days to find her a new home or make her an outside car. I know itll take more than 3 days to do this and I know he'll be flexible with that because he was really mad when he said that but has calmed down now. Still I dont want him to have to deal with that anymore she's peed on his clothes many times and hes put up with it many times so I think it's only fair I do something about it now. I can't just get rid of her though someone could just put her in the pound and all the same dangers of an outside cat could happen there too if she ended up being let out. So I just want some advice on the safest way to make this transition for her. I will get her microchipped and get a collar with a nametag and my number. I'll also make sure she's up to date on vaccinations which she should be because it was just in October that we got her and took her in for her shots shortly after. She's spayed too so that's not a concern. Just wondering any steps to take to ensure she doesn't run off and if there's a way to train her to stay out of the road.

Is the cat eating and drinking like normal? Is it especially hot right now? Sometimes cats try to find cooler places when it is too hot. If it is especially hot but the cat is eating just watch her for a couple days and see if she returns to normal.

If she's not eating, or is urinating outside the litter nox, you need to get her to the vet.

    Get her to the vet.

Ever since I brought both back my kitten in question( Siamese) has been kneading at me( it hurts), he has been very affectionate. However now when he turns over for me to rub his belly it will quickly escalate so I m trying to bite and scratch. I am a first-time cat owner and love them both but I am wondering what the sudden change of behavior means. Yes, I have on pet care and he is on a premium diet. They go to work with me every day. He is very spoiled, he is my baby. I just want to know if he is distressed, hates me, or is his normal behavior based on him being 4 months. Thanks in advance and please serious responses.

  • What is the best option for litter boxes? What is one you have found that works for you?

Best answer: I have found that a litter box with a lid and flap work best, cause my kitty likes to kick the litter everywhere, and the flap door keeps most of it in. If that's not a problem for you, just one with a top should do. It helps keep the odor down, as most boxes with tops have a carbon filter

Ive read about just a million links to “how to make your cats get along.” I dont think its that my old cat hates my new cat, she is fearful of him. I have a 3 year old female cat (lily), ive had her for almost 2 years. I have had a NEW 3year old male cat (mj) for about a week. He grew up in a household of about 4 other cats, so he is ok with wanting to be her friend. Lily wasnt. So she is scared of him. She little ears go down and her tail is tucked in and she hisses and even uses her claws. I’m scard this is not only a fear but this is part of her personality. But its kind of “good” if its a fear because that means she can get “over it,” right? Will cat pheremones help? I am sceptical of them. Weve tried putting them in carriers (at diffrent times) but lily KEEPS hissing! Mj doesnt fight back, he just gets sad and walks away. But i can they like each other because they sometimes look for each other in the house (mostly mj looking for lily). Ive only had mj for a week and a day, and i KNOW its too little time to tell if they will work out. I just feel there is a better way to do this.
