Do you ever wonder if your pets think that you’re the pet?
And that they own you? I don’t have any pets currently, but I was curious.

About pets?
With how the mindset on animals, such as both tame and feral. With how it seems autopilot spade and castrate, will we eventually just kill off our pet population? As any video about a cat or dog, if caught stray and even if give to a family it is spaded and castrated before its adopted off.
And even is recommended that you do so... with this will we not kill off our pet population?

Can I keep owning my raccoon in Washington state?
I live in Florida (you can see why I'm moving, now) and I own a raccoon that I got from a reputable breeder and I have a class 3 permit for. They specify say, in Washinton state, you can't take a wild animal out of the wild and make it into a pet. My raccoon is 5th generation domesticated and unable to be put back into the wild.

why would bob barker say have your pets "spayed or neutered"?
Does saying "castrated" or "genital mutilation" sound too rude and evil?

Can my sheep/goats be fed rained on alfalfa hay?
My stored alfalfa hay got moist after the rain storms we've been having. I was wondering what the risks of feeding them the rained on alfalfa would be? Will the hay lose its nutrition with it being moist? Would they bloat at all? Thank you.

Why do many people only adopt puppies/kittens rather than adult animals?
Most animals I've had have been adopted as adults. Some people say it's more special to raise them as babies though, especially if they're growing up alongside human children.

How do I cope with my pet being dead?
Favourite answer:Take heart in knowing you did the best thing for your friend, and he is in a better place. I always feel that a beloved pet will be there for me when I find my way across that "bridge". The love they brought is still in our hearts, so I feel they live on.
We put our 18 year old, Timmy, to sleep one year ago. He was a very unique cat who had a very specific personality. He was loved even by our neighbors, because he would sit by the sidewalk and wait for them to walk by and pet him.
The cat I had as a five-year-old still remains in my fond memories.
Take time to make a photo album. Write down memories of your cat.
See if you can either volunteer at a shelter, or become a foster for an animal rescue league. Leagues often need "bottle-feeders" for abandoned litters, or fosters for any other needy cat or kitten - and this can be very rewarding. You can then consider first cat as the leader in helping these other kitties, and that is a good legacy for him to leave. You can find rescue leagues by inquiring with local pet supply stores, or going to the "Petfinder" site. Send emails stating you would like to help.
It takes time to get over losing something that was as close as this cat, and there for so long. Find a way to make a positive impact if at all possible, and in the least remember the good things about your cat. Make a mosaic garden stone for him.
Also, continue to communicate with your friends, and do things safely together. Community is a great help in times of need. You need in the least, the support of friends by simple chit-chatting. Since it is only one day, it is going to take time to readjust to kitty not being there.

Dog is suffering and dying, but husband won't take him to be put down. ?
Hello all. I'm in a very tough situation with no where to turn. My husband's dog is soon to be 14 years old. He was diagnosed 7 months ago with kidney disease and ultimately kidney failure. In the last few weeks, he has taken a turn for the worst. He barely eats and what he does eat, he can't hold down. His incontinence has become even more severe than what it has been the last few years which was already bad. The dog has caused thousands of dollars of damage from all the urine all over our home. He is skin and bones and is in so much pain. He can barely walk and has no energy anymore. He used to be such a happy, energetic dog. He doesn't even bark anymore. Even with all this, my husband is refusing to take him to our vet and have him put down. He is making me take care of everything, clean up all the vomit, pee, and poop while he refuses to acknowledge his suffering. He just says "he's not ready to let him go" yet. I'm sorry, but to me, that is so selfish and cruel. I can't talk to him about it because he just gets upset and starts yelling at me. He can't take it. But I don't know what else to do. I'm at the end of my rope and this whole situation has put such a strain on our marriage. He thinks I hate the dog and I don't! I just believe his quality of life isn't there and it's not fair to him or us! We keep him in our basement because of all the accidents and he's been known to bite. We have 2 small kids. Please help!
