• Why do some younger women think they can only wear real short hair?

Best answer: I'm not sure they do
Fortunately for them its not 1870 and no one else's choice or business
so they decide for themselves how they wear their hair
with no input or criticism from anyone else

  • Blow dryer vs flat iron?

Do you prefer straightening your hair with a blow dryer or flat iron? I know a flat iron uses a higher heat setting but I prefer to use that. Cuz I feel like whenever I blow dry my hair straight it's very rough and damaged at the end and sometimes it even smells bad as if I burned it even tho it's not that hot show more

  • Help, my daughter wants her hair dyed and I figure out the coloring?

I know I need to bleach it but my question is if I don’t bleach the roots and just dye it grey will it turn out a darker grey? Because she wants the roots darker than everything else? Basically she wants the roots a dark grey then goes to lighter grey than fade to light blue this is her current hair color

I know that there are ways of preventing it, but is there a way to actually grow it back...? I've had a pretty bad addiction with picking my scalp since I was around 12-13. It started as a nervous habit but it developed into something pretty bad. This past year or so, I've managed to force myself to break out of it, but the damage has already been done. My hair is really thin and my hairline is way back, making my forehead look enormous. It makes me extremely self conscious. I don't even have enough hair for a proper fringe to cover my forehead. Is there anyway to regrow the hair? Like I said, not just prevent it, but actually make it grow back...? I'm 17 btw

My mother have been dying her hair on a cycle (like once a month or sometimes twice a month) for many years, I don't know since when. Recently, I noticed whenever she didn't dye her hair for 2-3 weeks, white hair is visible on the top/beginning of strand of hair (roots). Do you think it is appropriate to try to ask/convince her to stop dying her hair and let it go white/gray naturally? Or will it be rude or weird? I just don't like it when she keeps covering her grey/white hairs, I prefer to see them instead of the camouflaged black dyed hair color. I think I can say stuff to her like "don't dye to save your money and energy", "white is nice and beautiful too", "white matches your face", "use the remaining dye boxes that you have then don't buy news one and dye anymore, etc. I never got the chance to see my family members' full of white/grey hair...my grandmother dyes her hair quite regularly and often so it's always black. Hairs going white/grey is quite interesting and exciting especially when we get the chance to see our parents/grandparents going through that as they get older. But that's not the case for me. That's why I'm thinking about this. What do you guys think?

I work with food so I have no option but to, and I know this is also weird but I generally don't like facial hair, it's annoying, irritating and it doesn't suit me, in my opinion. Is there any way to STOP facial hair growing on my face? Or at least make the growth really slow so I would only shave a few times per month or year etc? If not, how does it work when a Male has a sex change to Female and the facial hair growth is stopped? Also, I am losing a lot of actual hair lately, so if I do something to stop facial hair would it effect my actual hair? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I shaved all of my hair off a few months ago due to heat damage and I am currently in the process of growing my hair back. I have extremely thick, coarse and somehow frizzy hair and pushing my hair back with lots of gel is no longer working. Leaving my hair as it is is also no longer appealing because my hair length is at that "awkward phase." My hair is currently too long to style but also too short to put in a bun or ponytail. Braids have been recommended to me by many people because braids are protective hairstyles. Since I am trying to grow my hair as healthy as possible, I am really considering getting cornrows. However, I am afraid of getting called out for cultural appropriation even if I completely acknowledge the background and the culture behind this hairstyle. PS my hair is also not long enough for dutch/french braids and I am also just a student.
