How does one salvage an RV from the bottom of a lake?
I heard the ice cracking and had to evacuate my RV, The RV then went through the ice and I assume sank to the bottom of the lake.
The water is 25 to 35 feet deep in the general area the RV and some ice fishing shacks sank in.
Come spring would it be possibly to dive down to the RV and maybe put some of those self inflating rafts in the interior, then rig some way to make them all inflate at once. Some way to pull the inflate cord once I exit the RV after placing them inside.
Would like 10 self inflating rafts float the RV to the surface?
Would it be better to dismantle the RV on multiple dives, salvaging the more valuable components and leaving the shell and frame to Rest In Peace? Maybe salvage the copper wiring and any decorative artwork. Salvage the furniture items, nice appliances and such.
Maybe salvage luggage and such. Like they do with some boat wrecks where they recover the cargo and some parts and leave the hulking hull where it rests?
What is someone to do if they lost their RV?

Do you think that a black boat inspires fear to the sea?
Favourite answer:That’s exactly the same nonsense as asking whether the ground trembles with fear as a spade approaches it.

What happens if you try to drive a fishing boat along a beach , with the propellers barely touching the sand?
Favourite answer:If it's your own boat - it might do no real damage (other than to the paint on the prop) but you'd risk hitting a rock or something else in the sand that's big enough to damage the prop. If the boat's a rental - you could get charged for a new prop because the paint will almost certainly be sanded off the prop from running it in sand and whoever rented it to you might just assume you damaged the prop.

Could the Titanic have been TIED to the iceberg that killed it as a stopgap bouyancy measure, buy time, w/the anchor chains(strongest lines)?
Favourite answer:At cruising speed the titanic would take more than 2 miles to slow down. Even if the crew were set up with the necessary chains ropes etc & waiting to jump straight onto the iceberg as they hit how were they to fasten the ropes, chains etc to the ice in the few seconds before the ship moved on?
Experiment for you. While riding your bike fairly quickly try tying a rope around a power pole as you pass it.
Turning round & going back- good luck with that, several miles to turn round. Remember no radar, black night, ship not handling as usual. Even if they had got back to the berg & managed to stop along side it close enough to tie up to it without hitting it hard enough to do even more damage, what are they going to tie to? Ice isn't steel or concrete & doesn't have convenient bollards built into it

Wrong gas in 2000 Yamaha wave runner. Need help!?
Im looking at buying a 2000 Yamaha wave runner. It’s a 2 stroke and the previous owner didn’t add oil/ used regular gas and it won’t run. What exactly could be wrong with it now and how would I fix it?
Any idea on how much it would cost to fix? (Mechanic vs doing it myself)

Why would a yacht club have a policy discouraging bikinis 👙?
In the Yacht Club’s policy of appropriate swimwear on the grounds it says that “one piece swimwear is encoraged for women on the yacht club grounds and in yacht club pools”
Why would a yacht club frown on bikinis and prefer “traditional Miss America Style swimwear”?

What to do if you got stuck at ocean because your boat broke down?
Favourite answer:The answer is that you never get into a situation like that. Have a signal horn, flare gun, radio, and gps with an emergency sos beacon if you ever plan on going out into the ocean. And definitely accept help from anybody willing to offer if you didn't come prepared. What better options would you have at that point

How long can a body last at the bottom of the ocean?
Favourite answer:Any body in water: creatures from single-cell up consume the flesh rapidly . . . . while bones can last for centuries in dry conditions, they dissolve when submerged - especially in salt water.
The Titanic went down in very deep water. Victims trapped inside were also exposed to crushing pressure - there would have been no recognizable remains in the wreck within days days-weeks of the sinking.
