T1, T2, T3, T4 are differnt bandwidth specifications that are used to name the different interent speeds. The basic linup from slowest to fastest is dailup (56kbps) dsl (500-100kbps) cable (1000-2000kbps) and T1, T2, T3, T4 (2000-about unlimited kbps)
The T's are used for large company networks that require enormous amounts of bandwidth.

T1, T2, T3, & T3 are just internet connections that are way faster than dsl & use fiber optics. Most of the times u will find those types of internet connections in places that have lots of computers networked together. Ex. college librarys, business, county buildings.
