What type of fuel to use for fondue set.?

I am not sure what to use, can you use methylated spirits?

    After the fondue is all the way heated just turn the pot off. Or get a pot where you just light a candle under it and it keeps it warm but not too hot.

    My fondue set uses methylated spirits; so I'd recommend that over (say) shellite or kerosine ('cides the fact that kerosine stinks the place up too much).

    You would use a sterno. You can get them at Wal Mart or Academy Sports & Outdoors.

    I "had" a fondue set....yearrrrrrrs ago....it used tea light candles.

    Sterno. It's what caterers use.

    cans of sterno which you but at any hardward store or an walmart are the safest things to use.
